This is an excellent place to stay. We loved our room, the pool, the hot springs, the volcano views, the included breakfast, and the excellent service! This place is also excellent if you are interested in bird watching. Arenal Manoa is a birder's paradise.

Beautiful, secluded, but still close to La Fortuna downtown. The view from our room was incredible, and it seems as though all the rooms have awesome views of the volcano. I feel we got a true Costa Rican experience. The property host many wildlife animals that can be viewed from your room!

Wow, this property was just stunning. The breakfasts were delicious and abundant in choice, the landscaping and nature surrounding the apartments held so much fun animal life (birds, sloths, etc), and the apartment was perfectly kept. So much goodness here, plus gorgeous views!

Unfortunately you could hear absolutely everything from our next door neighbours in the room we stayed in, no acoustics

The place was lovely and the gardens exceptional , beautiful Cleanrooms, lovely well maintained thermal pools and the staff went out of their way to help , I checked in and was quite sick Maria from the front desk bought me soup and fruit bowl with a card to get well soon ! All complimentary , this was next level service .

A very minor detail: I wish the pillows were softer. My mom had some trouble sleeping the first few nights because of how firm they were. We never brought this up to the staff, but I feel like if we did they would have gladly accommodated another pillow set!

Excellent service, property, facilities, food, and experience overall. Everyone made sure we felt welcome every step of the way and were even able to accommodate our dietary restrictions. I’d stay again in a heartbeat. The pictures don’t do it justice (the rooms are actually nicer than depicted on some of the photos!). They made our stay extra special by bringing treats to celebrate my mom’s birthday and Mother’s Day. We so much appreciate all the kindness and these sweet little gestures.

We loved the Manao Hotel! The staff is super friendly, the rooms are gorgeous and the property has everything you need. A shuttle service, great help with adventure trips, a pool with bar and view directly to the vulcan and a fantastic breakfast buffet.

The resort is big and most time you would need to call a buggy to move around. Guests can enter with their own car, and this may cause some traffic noise during peak hours / seasons.

Our room had a gorgeous view of the volcano and a little patio where to sit and enjoy the landscape. The staff is extremely polite and attentive, always ready to assist the guests. In one occasion, while taking us from the lobby to the room, a staff member took us around the resort to show us a toucan and a sloth he saw earlier. There is a hot spring pool and some hot spring ponds for the guests to enjoy. We loved them, especially after a long day exploring the nature around. The restaurant has an optional vegan menu, for those interested in it.

I did not like the fact that the massages were double the price of the city massages. And two of the three thermals in the back was closed.

The living spaces were very clean. The pool water was crystal clean amazing restaurant view lots of wildlife.

Very friendly, lovely and helpful staff, super clean room and beautiful garden, we enjoyed the hot spring a lot. Very good breakfast with variety of choices , I definitely recommend it. We even got a complementary dinner a night before we leave. Food was amazing. Thank you !!
