Perhaps the doors are not very soundproof and you could hear occasional noises from hallway.

Close to caldera port. Generous spaces inside and convenient parking outside. Excellent breakfast and excellent restaurant for other meals. Great espresso coffee. Good air conditioning. We would definitely stay again.

perfect if had had a pool! There was a small pool a short walk away but full of children and families. Thought we were nearer to the port and didn't realise how much was going on in the main Puntereneus area. Our fault.

Lovely room overlooking the river, with patio. Fabulous service and food in the family run restaurant. Asked for extra pillows which the delightful Kenneth got immediately, only here for 1 night before driving to catch the Ferry.

Oh we loved this hotel. The view of the estuary was glorious and we had a delicious lunch, dinner and breakfast. It is slightly dated but that only adds to its charm.

The chairs on the balcony were uncomfortable which was a shame especially if you like to sit outside a lot. It was a bit isolated with no facilities. The swimming pool is off site at another hotel further along the road. There were no shops nearby.

The view from the balcony was amazing. The restaurant below the hotel is outstanding and serves amazing fish dishe Good location if you like a quiet holiday.

There is fairly limited dedicated parking spaces, but plenty of space on the street if the spaces are taken. Not a lot of vegetarian options at the restaurant.

Clean, spacious rooms, excellent air-conditioning, great location, good food. This is an excellent seafood restaurant and the hotel is above. Great views over the lagoon from the restaurant and very convenient for Caldera.

We had a big, beautiful room with a large balcony over the water. The hotel is a few minutes drive from Puerto Caldera and we were offered a ride over to catch our ship, which we were not expecting. Be sure to eat in the restaurant, the seafood is delicious! Breakfast was also very good.

The hotel and restaurant overlook a body of water. Very clean and spacious room, welcoming staff, great food at the restaurant and delicious breakfast is included. We had a lovely balcony overlooking the water. The only negative is that large trucks go by all night on the bridge across the water. But using the A/C and earplugs makes that go away.

It was a little remote from the rest of town and the beach.

Very friendly people. The upper hallway has an open end with seating looking out over the ocean. The dining room also had an open end looking over the ocean. Very pleasant. The food was good. We needed transportation to our ship the last day and they gave us a ride and refused payment.

This is truly a hidden little gem in a non touristy town near Puntarenas. I had booked it just as a stopover between the airport and Arenal. What a wonderful surprise. A cozy clean property right on the water with a great and inexpensive restaurant. This is not the lap of luxury. But the place and the staff ooze friendliness and warmth. Great seafood too! Pura Vida!

Our toilet had some issues that we had to deal with. No big deal. The fix was an easy one and they helped immediately when we asked for assistance. Other than that…nothing to be concerned about.

This little hotel sits on the Calderas Port. Most rooms have a nice balcony that look over the port. Although I don’t remember booking one of these rooms with a balcony, because few people were here, they gave us a nicer room. Really nice. The people running the hotel are amazingly kind and helpful. The restaurant below the hotel is very nice. I bit pricey but very convenient as the hotel seems to be pretty isolated (walking distance) to anything. All in all…extremely nice overnight stay. We would definitely consider a return here someday.

Excellent place to spend the night, beautiful view of the ocean / river inlet / mangroves directly from the rooms on the 2nd floor. They upgraded us to the suite since there weren't many people staying. Great seafood restaurant below! Nice staff!

The rooms were very old, beds were not comfortable, pillows were past their useful Rooms were small and have not been updated in many years. Breakfast was scant.

Location was perfect for our planned route. Staff were very friendly and provided services in a professional and pleasing manner. Free and secure parking.
