The Ocean Suites was such a delight to stay at. The staff were amazing and friendly. The entertainment was varied with diffent genre's of music on most nights. The food options were good and competitively priced and off excellent quality. I stayed in the Santa Maria suite which was beautifully decorated in local culture themes, ornaments and pictures. A stones throw away to the beach and other local attractions......

We liked everything, but be aware there is a bar below the rooms that can be noisy. We booked knowing this before hand and we had an amazing time

The staff was incredible, always polite, happy, relaxed, respectful, and always ready to give us a tip on where to go, where to eat or what to do. The food was also very good, and the atmosphere at the bar until midnight was awesome with live music and entertainment.

we came here without any expectatuons and were surprused - in a good way. The hotel is in the center few steps away from the main pedestrian street, few steps away from the beach(s). All the staff is very helpful, kind willing to give you advice if one is needed. Breakfast is good, room was pleasant. I liked it.

The location was perfect between the beach and the Main Street. 2 mins walk to both. The staff were all lovely and went out of their way to make us comfortable and welcome.

I enjoyed every single moment there! The great location and comfort of the suite, the early morning peace and quiet of the Cafe where a delicious breakfast was served by the lovely staff members (loved the Cachupa!) and the great energy of those working there in the evening. The reception went above and beyond, a special thanks goes to Dory for looking so well after me and making me feel welcome. The place is also very safe as there is a security team looking after guests. So no stress, just go and enjoy!

The safe was locked on arrival, I explained to the person at check in I would need a safe however during my stay it was never provided even after asking on 2 occasions.

Please be aware this is located in a busy area so you will hear the music and in the morning the street dogs barking, but is not a problem at all if you are aware of it :)

Unique and quirky rooms, ours was the Cape verde room, it was very spacious. Good location in the centre of Santa Maria. Nice pizzas in the restaurant :)

Everything was so above expectations.  It started when we checked in with a welcome drink. The room has so many unique details and is really spacious. Every morning, an à la carte breakfast was served in the restaurant, which was excellent! During the day, it is nicely calm outside. In the evening, there was a really nice atmosphere in the bar, with good music and people and staff dancing. Also, the food for dinner was excellent! (with discount!) The hotel is only a few meters away from the beach, and they provide beach towels. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Helton who was there every morning with a friendly smile and a nice chat.

Everything was just perfect

Hotel: Ocean Suites is much more than a hotel. The service and attention that you as a customer receive every day is great🤩. I stayed in room 2 (for me one of the nicest room)😌. The room was large, with good working air conditioning and a beautiful view of the popular square and main street.The servers were friendly one by one and want to do everything for you "NO STRESS". And every evening there is live music downstairs in the restaurant with good music. You dance💃🏾 until you can't feel your feet anymore (haha). For your safety, a security guard is present every night and after an evening out he will bring you safely to the entrance so that you can safely return to your room. Breakfast ,lunch and diner: Every morning I could choose between 3 different breakfast menus (American🥓, Cape Verde🫘 and Mediterranean🍅). All three were tasty and you get a lot! You can also enjoy a delicious meal there (lunch and dinner). Try their burger🍔 (one of the tastiest burgers in Cabo Verde!)🤌🏽.  The beach and the famous pier are a 3-minute walk from the hotel! All famous cafes and restaurants are a 5 or 6 minute walk from the hotel. If you want to save money, book all activities through Dorry, which will save you 10 to 20 euros per excursion. And you can also arrange your transport to and from the airport through Dorry. Ocean Suites is for me the best hotel in Santa Maria! Adilson makes the best coffee☕️ for you in the morning. Janete serves you with her beautiful smile in the evening 😍(She has the most beautiful curls I had ever seen) And Flavio teaches you the coolest dance moves every evening💃🏾. Thank you Dorry for everything and I will definitely be back❤️❤️!!

Reception - our arrival at the hotel was not smooth and flawless. Welcoming needs improvement. Hotel with no lift (okay), but no assistance with luggage, (bad).
