Furbishment was adequate but no luxury, and hotel were storing spare kit in black bags on wardrobes and in locked cupboards. Cooking area cramped (under the stairs) with no work surface at all. Ramshackle provision of crockery and pots, fewer plates than they had bed places, no cleaning or drying products as promised. Not even a salt and pepper pot. Spent 30 Euros topping up things missing. Main problem was staff, (other than the excellent cleaners.) Gardeners, security men, touts, shouted to each other loudly, from six in the morning, even when standing close to someone. No one walked 10 metres to speak to a colleague when they could yell. Reception staff were about as useless as I have encountered, and I travel for a living in less advantaged countries; I am not expecting Ritz service levels. Their first reaction to any basic enquiry was to frown at being disturbed at all, then say No, then, when pressed, to say only manager could deal with it, and the manager was not available. When she was, she would hide in her office and tell the receptionist to say no again, and only come out under sufferance, scowling and hostile. I have never witnessed such an unpleasant attitude. All we were asking for in the two cases concerned, was working wi-fi, after a week of it failing throughout the day, and, on the departure day, after a three-week stay, an extra hour in our room, as my wife had terrible diarrhea. We never raised our voice, kept smiling and explaining the problem, but received only a no-can-do attitude.

One of the best hotel pools I have used, located just above a sandy cove. Great cleaning staff and regular changes of towels and linen. Location close to main square, very convenient.

The mattress was not good. I woke up everyday with back pain. It was really a struggle to have a proper sleep.

The main drawback was the terreible beds, where you sink deep between the bed planks. The wifi is unreliable and the sun beds are to a large degree blocked by towels (and no persons)

Nice place, with comfortable localization. There were near to the ocean, and to the center of the Santa Maria. A hotel with a supervised swimming pool and two additional exits to the beach. The service was very nice and helpful. Moreover, there is a special room at the Reception- where you can leave your luggage- if your flight is later than the check-out time. The restaurant is well stocked with friendly service. Our assessment is very positive.

The apartment was a bit outdated.

Our arrival didn't start off the best way: The hotel's payment terminal was not working and we had to try two different ATMs to get cash and the air conditioning in our room dripped profusely inside the room. Hugo the receptionist was very helpful and found a solution right away moving us to another apartment. The staff also allowed us to late check out has our flight was only at night. The pool is great and the "private" beach is also great.

No adequate air-conditioning in the room. I was given a nice large apartment, but no air conditioners in the bedroom. Little Aircon unit the living room/ kitchen. It was like a sauna. Reception was closed early due to the death of the family member of the receptionist supposed to be on duty. ( why there is no replacement) I arrived just after 21.00 hours and someone gave me the key to the apartment and took me there. When I realised there was no Aircon in the bedroom , I managed to find the same person and told him I'm not able to stay in that hot box. He rang the guy in charge and that smart guy told me "please wait for sometime, keep the door open and it will be okay.. That was totally unacceptable. I insisted on changing the room or walking out of that place. Finally after waiting for a long time I was given a much smaller apartment with Aircon in the bedroom. Even that was not working properly and too small for the size of the area. The next day I got a table fan. No proper rest or sleep due to it. Night Safe was broken in the first apartment. Shower heads and mounting needs to be renewed. Every Time when I turned off the water it fell off the rail was not secure. It can injure someone. Not a good experience. Not acceptable at all. If not for these negative experiences, I would say the Resort is very nice. They seriously need to make the place more comfortable by installing adequate air-conditioning systems large enough to handle the space and regular inspection and repairs.

Nice area, spacious room. A well fitted kitchen if someone wants to use it during their stay. The fridge freezer is in good working order. Good restaurant.. Breakfast was good and adequate. Friendly and helpful staff. Close to the beach and very nice surroundings with a swimming pool, old harbour entrance where you can go for a dip. Well maintained granaries.. Good walking areas. Beautiful and relaxing.

Nothing comes to mind at the moment. Perhaps that my flat was up 3 flights of stairs and with my suitcases was a bit of a faff given the cobbled road already.

The staff here are and were super helpful. This hotel and my apartment was overlooking the ocean. It was only a few minutes walk onto the main strip so therefore in terms of feeling safe and local everything was around you. Easy walking distance to restaurants and bars and the beach. Loved it here and would definitely come back.

the sliding door to the terrace was old and hard to open/close. one bed was a bit hard for the kids to sleep on.

The hotel bed and pillows were a little bit uncomfortable, and the pool was a bit too deep for children.

The hotel swimming pool was amazing, right by the beach. It's also located right on the beach and has a small private area where kids can play safely. There are many cats roaming around the hotel, and my daughters absolutely adore them.

The bathroom were little outdated, but it didn't bother us. Shower worked well and everything was clean and worked.

The location is perfect and the pool and the beach area! We were so pleased. We didn't except it to be so perfect. The price was very good, location great, the atmosphere is perfect and there are actually equipment to cook food (and a coffee machine). Supermarkets are around the corner, beach is right infront of the room and there were always free sundbeds at the beach or by the pool. It was great.

There were mosquitoes in the room after short window open and the pillows were too thin to me, so it was hard to sleep, but daytime was good
