The price! I realize there was a commercial fair going on but it was so expensive, I decided to not stay two nights in favor of a very long train ride and a long day

Staff are really friendly and helpful. Location ideal within walking distance to Altstadt, U-Bahn and Tram stop just a short walking distance away. Also provided with free public transport cards for the duration of our stay.

The rooms was old and needs renovation, especially the curtains were falling off. Simply way to expensive for the quality, even though it was during Medica times.

Very friendly staff at reception and a very quiet place. Close to bus station and some restaurants nearby. Breakfast was really good.

they didn’t inform in advance the front desk is not 24 hours. the coffee machine was dirty I only wanted hot water and didn’t work because the machine was dirty and without coffee the water goes out brown… on the other hand there was not cleaning within the stay… only one bottle of water for three days…

Looks like they don't fix things immediately; for example the balcony door lock was damaged. But, they was a small thing. The overall experience was amazing.

Location is wonderful. Just 2 minutes walk to the U bahnhof and 15 minutes walk to the Tonhalle. Also staff is amazing, and by staff I mean Mr. Marcel who upgraded my room as a generous gesture and also offered me a city ticket to use all means of transportation for free :)

Noise at night from other guests

The staff are very friendly and helpful and the location is perfect. It's a short and pleasant walk to Konigsallee through the park, and all the shops and food outlets you need are just across the road. The Nordstrasse metro stop is 1 minute away.

This double room with en-suite was just perfect for a business trip. The cost was really good and the bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was ideal and the power from the shower was really powerful, with immediate hot water. Marcel greeted us at reception and was super friendly and chilled out. Not something I find most German's are... But it was not just him, all the staff wore big smiles and eager to help. Train was a stone's throw away and the old city was a 15 minute walk. I will certainly return to this hotel for any future trips to Dusseldorf. And I hope Marcel did well in his Chess Competition.

It's hard to get to 4th floor without, as there is no elevator. But I suppose, they give such a rooms only for young and strong guests :) The furniture looks a bit tired, but who cares. It's comfortable )

perhaps the stairway and landings could do with a little bit of revitalising.

the hotel is very central and ideal for seeing all the sights. the breakfast room although in the basement is a lovely bright room and the breakfasts excellent. our room was very comfortable. all the staff without exception were so friendly and attentive. we were also given on arrival a Dusseldorf travel card which entitled us to free public transport in the city for the duration of our stay. we found this invaluable for reaching the further reaches of the city.

the walls are so thin, it seems like you are in the same room as your neighbors! The rooms was not clean and very dusty. it was cold and the heating was turned down. I asked if I could get a different room because of the noise and the answer was we are fully booked, I checked and in Booking there were still rooms available!!

We were supposedly upgraded in our room to a room which had a balcony. The balcony was scruffy and had not been swept it was also shared with another room no privacy screen just plants (we did not use the balcony).The patio door handle in the room was completely broken and came off in your hand the door could not be shut securely and kept fully opening (we were advised that there was an issue with the patio door but we did not realise how bad it was until we had been shown to the room and, payment for our stay had already been taken upon our arrival!)we eventually had to put some cardboard between the door and frame to secure as the door would just open fully day/night. We had not booked breakfast in our original booking and upon arrival we asked if we could have breakfast. We were advised that there was an issue with breakfast they could not provide this as per the hotel's advertisment at the present time due to clients that were staying in the hotel, we were advised we could have the breakfast which was provided for them at no charge although this was not suitable and a disappointment. No refreshment facilities in room.

Location of the hotel was excellent.
