Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThere is nothing not to like.
Do not be put off by the approach to this hotel or the outside - looks can be deceptive. It was in fact a lovely hotel. Our room was quite compact with single beds, but as we only stayed one night it was adequate. The hotel has an added bonus of a small pool which we appreciated after a long motorbike ride. We were lucky that we had it to ourselves, along with the jacuzzi. The breakfast was varied and plentiful. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There was a safe underground car park for our motorbike for a small fee. It is a short(ish) walk into town and we did get a little lost even with the map. However well worth the walk as what a beautiful town it is. We had a meal in a lovely Chinese restaurant, but eating places are plentiful. It's obviously a tourist town and I expect will get very busy at the height of Summer.

United KingdomLimited bar/coffee facilities- nothing after 9pm . No tea/coffee making in room’. Given it was quite far from the center this mattered more than it would have if more central . Quite a long walk to historic centre but that was our fault for not checking the location more carefully .
Lovely garden and nice sized swimming pool .

United KingdomThe chef was on holiday the receptionist said, so restaurant not open/ no food in the evening. No buses into town so couple mile walk to get into town, or a cab that would cost between 7 to 8 euros, The area at back of station rundown dodgy until you got used to it then found it was not dangerous just rundown. Take aways was only pizza choice. We would walk into town then stay there and have evening meal before walking back to hotel.
spa, breakfast, afternoon eats,, quietness, pool,, comfort, nice looking hotel, receptionists helpful, quiet no jostling of people no people, The actual town of quedlinburg amazing would definitely visit again. But as husband had walking problems and health problems , i would choose another hotel in town. I would go back to this hotel if i were younger and fitter. If you want a cheapish hotel and you dont mind the quietness , no evening meals and the walk to and from town and were fit this may be a good choice for you . pool & spa free that was really good and apple strudelmiit & ice cream in afternoon and beer

RomaniaI went for spa and massage. I've made my booking with aprox 2 weeks before the starting date of the booking. When we arrived, they gave us their brochure offering massage and so on. Wanted to have one and the lady told me that they need to book their employees with 2 weeks before the appointment and nobody told me anything. It ruined my vacation, as this was the main reason for which I choose this location. I think it was an awful experience and I don't want to ever go in this place ever again! It's not worth the money at all!!
Breakfast as very good, as well as the location itself.

United Kingdomcarpets in reception area looked dirty and stained. repeatedly asked what time i would take breakfast.... no lounge facility to speak of. hotel bar was effectively the restaurant and terrace. only food available was a three course set dinner that had to be booked before 4 pm. ( could not find any menu displayed). it looked like receptionist was also working as waitress/bartender. everything closed at 9pm sharp. entrance via side door, no more drink service on terrace, and lift switched off , meaning a stair climb was required. bedroom and bathroom 219 both of decent size. good water pressure and temperature. carpets and furniture very basic and old fashioned. looked worn rather than dirty. Not even a fan to cool the room. No fridge/mini bar or english language news. i did not have time to use the pool/health area , though it looked clean and well sized. extra charge of 7 euros per hour to use. this looked like an old communist era spa hotel, where the fittings and decor, facilities and services harked back to that era, rather than to meet needs of modern traveller. people wanting to visit the splendid old town of quedlinburg should not choose this location. there is nothing of interest or use around the hotel. rail station is about 15 mins walk, and double that to market square. taxis july 22 were approx 7 euros to station and 11 to foot of castle hill. ( only 3 companies with few cars in Q, so it can be difficult to get fast service without pre-order ) there is no way this should be classed as 3 star superior. this was lowest standard and highest price on a 12 night tour, even before you get hit with extra 3 euros pp tourist tax from local council.
Friendly welcome, with rooms ready for early checkin. good buffet breakfast,

BrazilAlthought the location, the guests and the staff weren't playing parties or doing proposital noises, I have to say that the wall are very thin. We could actually listen to the other guest placed on the bedroom next to us, snoring. If you have a light sleep, ask to the staff for a room on the corners of the building.
All the furniture were beautiful, plus the bathroom was very nicely designed. The staff were also very helpful.
