We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

New ZealandNo spare/extra blankets/bed covers. No iron. No staff to be able to talk to about either of these things. No staff when arrived - NB my fault that I had not read my email carefully (it had not crossed my mind that there would be no reception staff in the middle of the day.)
Great location. Exactly what I needed - close to venue and train. Room had a nice view and was wonderfully clean and nice looking.

SpainReception is only open a few hours a day, which could be an inconvenience if you need a service or assistance. There is no room service or phones in the rooms.
This hotel exceeded my expectations. As a young woman traveling alone, I felt very safe. It is located in a very cute square and is well connected to the train station that leads to Basel City. The room is well equipped with high quality shampoos, soaps, etc, as well as a hair dryer and complementary coffe, tea, and water. Room number 1 has a very nice view to the square, with the morning sun hitting the room. It is spacious, with good storage space.

New ZealandAir conditioning for rooms would be a huge bonus - as it opens onto a loud street, opening the windows at night is noisy and in 35+ degrees, some level of cool for the room is essential.
Location was great - staff were friendly but often absent (took quite a while to check in / out due to low staff). Rooms were nice.

AustriaReally noisy ... the bar in front of the hotel was quite lively till midnight. Despite several requests for quiet rooms, the room directly facing the bar was given .... thanks to ear plugs, it was possible to sleep. No fridge in the room, one of the water bottles was open. The reception was staffed for limited times.
Boutique hotel located in town centre, spacious rooms with sophisticatedly designed bath (L'Occitane toiletries !). Tea & coffee making facilities. Free water bottles. No problem to get the keys with the code at the entrance.

GermanyI thought I was safe staying here in winter, that it wouldn't be loud. Unfortunately the restaurant/bar next door was open until 1 a.m. and a lot of people were sitting/standing outside (which you don't expect when it's freezing outside) and music was playing until well past midnight. If you're planning on staying on the weekend, you may want to think twice about a room overlooking the square. This really kind of ruined my stay.
The room was nice and modern and clean. It's a good location for visiting the Beyeler and Vitra and/or museums in Basel if you don't want to stay in Switzerland. Personnel was very friendly, especially at breakfast. I also liked that they made coffee to order - you didn't get a thermos of boring drip coffee that many hotels still serve. The contact-free check-in worked perfectly. I was a bit worried but it was not problem. Easy-peasy. There's also an electric kettle so you can make coffee or tea in your room. Everything is walking distance - lots of restaurants, cafes, and shopping.

GermanyCheck-in was a bit confusing at first but then it made sense. For being an art-themed hotel, the art leaves much to be desired but that is purely in the eye of the beholder. That said, the interior design is great. I loved the coffee table book on Mexico.
The staff were very friendly and welcomed us kindly already in the email. The breakfast was tasty, had variety and was a very value. Even though it is in the very center of Lörrach, we heard no noise whatsoever. This was our second stay and will be our go-to place when we return. A big thank you.

Loved the location, right in the center of the city. No need for car to go shopping or have a coffee as hotel was right in the downtown. Loved the checkin process. Keys were very easy to collect. Bathroom had very nice toiletries (Loved the smell of the shampoo) Bed and mattress were soo comfortable.
