The hotel is dated, not everything is modernised. EG, old fashioned heavy keys, no English television options, no sound system.

The location, the atmosphere, the history of the hotel. We also had a room upgrade. Bar and restaurant were good.

We regret not having the opportunity to eat dinner at the hotel, but the breakfast we had was mildly disappointing in its slightly limited selection: alright but not exceptional. That was the sole less-than-stellar aspect of our stay, and if we can ever return, we will be sure to experience dinner there, with high expectations!

Hotel Eisenhut provided all the patina and history one hopes for in a lodging with its longevity, but the comforts are all modern and in fine condition. The glass-covered table in the lounge area is replete with excerpts from its guest book, including great figures from the arts (e.g., violin legend Fritz Kreisler, piano legend Sviatoslav Richter, composer Paul Hindemith, singer Art Garfunkel, actor Burt Lancaster...), sports (racing car driver Mario Andretti), letters and statecraft (Winston Churchill), and so on... The building itself is glorious and well-preserved; it's simply a perfect expression of what draws one to Rothenburg.

Wish we could have stayed longer!

Location was amazing and staff was extremely welcoming and kind. Exceeded our expectations as the room was modern and renovated and very spacious and the bed was comfortable! We had a car to park and the staff was helpful in guiding us to the location to their parking.

We arrived on a day when the town was having a special day, so people everywhere made driving to the hotel was very difficult, so would have been handy to have been pre warned...

Brilliant location... Pre bookable parking in a garage a few streets away.... Breakfast was fantastic!!!

The property is split up in several locations so my room was across the street. It felt a bit isolated and didn’t feel like there was staff at that location. The bathroom is pretty dated with a bath tub and a handheld shower head.

Location location location!!! It has an excellent location to all of the shops and restaurants. The rooms was huge with a huge bed, lots of space and windows that open to the Main Street to take it all in!

This is a beautiful, historic hotel with the decor fully in style. Good spaces to sit and meet, restaurants, terrace space. And the rooms are spacious and beautiful. The location could not be improved on.

Perfect location in the centre of Rothenburg . Close enough to parking area and restaurants. Hotel restaurant makes an amazing breakfast and staff are friendly and welcoming. Rothenburg is always magical any time of year.

There is no parking adjacent to the hotel, when we sat in the hotel lobby dishes were missing from the menu.

Amazing location, there is an elevator for those who need it, excellent breakfast and large and comfortable rooms.

My coworkers room was nice, but he had a bath/shower combination with no shower curtain or glass and he had a difficult time showering without getting water on the floor.

Fantastic location, but difficult to get to because of the weekend celebration in the city center. Luckily, I have been to the city a few times before and knew how to navigate around the street closures.

Narrow underground parking but this wouldn’t stop us from staying here again.

Great room, comfortable bed. Let us check-in early since we arrived on a morning flight which was a fantastic bonus. Restaurant had a great menu and food was delicious.

Nothing it was perfect.

Amazing comfortable room. Right in old town centre. 20 min walk from the train station. Bathroom was older style but was like brand new.

The interior design of the bathroom was not modern but rather outdated. However, this also added to the charm of this medieval building to a certain extent!

The staff was really attentive and accommodating. We were travelling with a dog, yet, we were allowed to have breakfast and lunch in the bar/library. The building itself is full of history and its medieval charm was not abolished instead of a more modern design. The hotel is located in the heart of Rothenburg ob der Tauber only 5 min walking distance away from Plönlein. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

Everything was perfect. Central location, available parking, super professional receptionist. We even got a free upgrade and the room was amazing.

The hotel is located close to historical sightseeings. Everything in the hotel was dedicated to guests comfort. Receptionists are nice and welcoming. I enjoyed the stay a lot.
