How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The fact that the roof works started at 0730 exactly above our room was very disappointing. Hotel management was understanding and apologetic.
The location allows a chilled rest with options for walks and some pleasant stops. The hotel was clean and spacious with very good food. The staff was helpful.

We were sad we couldn't get a late checkout. But that simply means the late checkout is really popular. (Even though it is 50 euro extra)
We're already talking about going back there! Loved the spa in this environment. And the breakfast was amazing! (Although the coffee wasn't great)

Outside swimming pool is pretty but not very welcoming, the bottom is very slippery and we spotted few little frogs in there. It’s a shame that kids are not allowed in the swimming pool area in the afternoon.
Really enjoyed our stay, very quiet location, peaceful. The breakfast and dinner were very nice. People were friendly.

Warm welcome. Nice cafe area at the back of the hotel to have a late afternoon drink. Lots of varied walking opportunities in the adjoining forest and surrounding pathways. Good evening meal and breakfast with plenty of choice. Very clean and comfortable bedroom and bathroom.

The restaurant menu could have a little more options and present the food a bit nicer. Still pretty decent however.

- The cleanness of the hotel could be improved: the curtains, plates, etc. had stains on them. Besides, there was a dead mosquito inside a clean breakfast bowl, which could happen as the doors/windows are open, but it should be addressed by the staff who see it. - The outdoor pool was very slippery and green due to the pool algae, which resembles nature perfectly but was not what we wished for. - The air conditioner was not working properly and even though we had it set on 16C! it was really warm inside the room so we had to turn it off and open the window instead.
+ The rooms were modern and nicely decorated + The sauna, indoor pool, and hot tub were wonderful + The breakfast was delicious with a good variety + There was "nine-pin bowling" available in the hotel which was fun + The Fitness room was great + The parking space in front of the hotel was convenient + The staff was friendly + We were informed about the wedding event in the hotel and were offered rooms far from the noise and crowd

The girl was not that helpful when we checked in. No information such as where to eat breakfast, what time breakfast should be, where the swimming pools are. I just signed and was given the room key. We had a mosquito in the room and my wife was trying to get it. At the top edge of the bed headboard (where nobody would normally see and cleaners would normally miss) it was layered in thick dust and dirt. I think this is something that you should take up with the cleaning staff but not a big deal for me.
The room was perfect, service perfect except when checking in. Breakfast fantastic and grounds fantastic

Nothing negative to report really. Corona restrictions were in place but that is Niedersaxen policy really.
breakfast was excellent and good choice. The restaurant served solid German cuisine and we especially loved the swimming pool with our little one. We also had a very quit night in comfy beds. We ordered a baby bed that was promptly in place without extra cost.
