Not an experience we would ever want to revisit, and not a hotel that I would ever recommend.

The hotel is in a rather run-down area of town (1.7 km from the center of Tossens according to the hotel staff). It is right next to a kindergarten (not good for people who want to sleep in). Rooms are small, no wardrobe (only a kind of rack, see picture), and no place to put your bag. We had a view of the kindergarten and the parking lot (very romantic, see pictures). The walls are very thin, so you can hear every word from next door. There is a backyard where you can sit, but it is surrounded by roofs, paved and with almost no plants. Not a place where you can relax. (see picture) The welcome we got on our arrival was such that I almost cancelled our reservation right away. We were told off in a very inappropriate manner by the lady at reception for coming in. (Only 2 guests were supposed to be inside at the same time, but you cannot see if there is somebody. A friendlier tone would have been appreciated.) This is also the first hotel where I was ever required to pay for the room immediately on arrival. Again, I did not appreciate the tone in which this request was made. Breakfast is a buffet with a nice choice. Unfortunately, the choice stops when it gets to the coffee. The only coffee they have is old-fashioned filter coffee, absolutely undrinkable. On asking for milk I was told off again and directed towards the little capsules with condensed milk. When I insisted on fresh milk, all I got was cold milk, which made my coffee (undrinkable) cold coffee. When there was no wifi-access, I needed to ask for (and to insist on getting) a password. Again, it was not graciously given. On the whole, our contact with the hotel staff was rather unpleasant, so we tended to avoid them as much as we could during our stay.

The room was clean, but that was the only thing that was good.
