Lack of tea/coffee making facilities in bedroom. Nothing else.

Breakfast was adequate, well prepared with coffee in place on table, everything well presented. Maybe some more cooked food could be available?. Room was clean and warm especially the bathroom. Simple check-in and check out. Staff were efficient and helpful.

The only thing that wasn't great was that our room was right by the outer door and we were woken up several times starting early in the morning by the door slamming. It needs some kind of dampener on it and perhaps a sign telling the other guests to please be quiet... Some child staying in another room kept playing with our door handle which was also startling and not a great way to wake up, to say the least. That wasn't the fault of the hotel of course but the walls are clearly thin and the handle very rattley. So despite the lovely eiderdown, it wasn't a great night's sleep.

I love a good German eiderdown and this fulfilled all expectations. The bed was very comfortable and the room and bathroom were up to-date but still charming and very clean. The restaurant at the hotel was good and very popular. A convenient location for a drive up north. Note that traffic in hamburg is heavy so if you're heading for the ferry to Denmark, leave in very good time.

Parking spaces are limited. Had to park on the road. Poor waiter of the restaurant was on double duty as reception so checking in was slightly delayed.

This is the only hotel or b&b that I have ever stayed in that didn't have a kettle in the room but does have a hair dryer. it just seemed a little odd not to have one. It also had a good quality pen in the room.... but nothing to write on. This bills itself as a superior grade hotel so these omissions are surprising.

Breakfast was a little odd as there was only scrambled egg that was hot but there was plenty of euro buffet style cold meats and cheese etc which was good quality. The hotel is located in a quiet area so there is little traffic to cause noise. The rooms are very clean which to me is important. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Rooms were in the annex rather than the main building, my room was dark even with the lights on and the curtains closed, the main light was by the room door and not in the body of the room where it was needed. Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment, the only hot food was scrambled eggs - just scrambled eggs! the rest of the available food was the normal, cold continental breakfast; perfectly ok but seemed odd to me. The duvet cover on the bed had a reasonably big hole in it which would have been visible to whoever made up the bed so it seems strange that it was left on. Most surprising was that there was no kettle etc in either of the rooms I booked

Location is a nice, quiet area near to the motorway. The room and bathroom were very clean indeed, the shower was excellent! Checking in was fast and friendly too. All the staff that we came in contact with were friendly and helpful. Car parking was easy.

Suddenly the service at the restaurant stopped and getting attention impossible. I am sure everybody did their best, but, no girlfriends at working hours or stupid excuses why the wine lasted for 15 minutes to get on the table. Still, I will get back here.

A great location for a traveller coming from Puttgarten or Travemunde. Nice rooms and italian cuisine with a local twist.

We were first given a room that had not been cleaned, but it was quickly rectified.

Hotel location close to the A1 is ideal for enroute stopover, but not so close as to hear it.

Coffee/tea-making facilities would have made the room perfect, but of course cannot be expected.

The hotel is very well located for car travellers, just a few minutes off the motorway. The service was very nice and friendly, and the room was very comfortable and nicely decorated in a modern, but cosy style. I really liked the calm colour scheme and the high ceilings, and the rainshower was great. Arriving late, I did not try the restaurant which was packed, but it looked like a popular and cosy local gathering placce for friends and family. Unexpectedly heart-warming. The room was very reasonably priced. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

It's too bad that our room was so close to the main road because of the noise from lorries driving by. Although the description says that the rooms are soundproofed, you can still hear and feel the traffic.

We liked the restaurant, the old building but modern rooms and the location near the autobahn.

The main purpose of a hotel for me is the overnight stay. And to have a comfortable overnight stay the bed needs to be very good. At this property (I can only speak for our room though) the bed was terrible. It was way too soft, especially with two people. But the worst part wasthe lack of proper blackout curtains. We had full daylight in our room at 4:30am. Making the sleep even worse. At check out, I mentioned the terrible sleep and the lack of majorly important blackout curtains and the only comment we received was “all room have the same curtains”. This cannot be true, because at breakfast people told us that thei room was super dark. We were expecting a much more empathetic reaction and maybe some type of compensation like e.g. only one charge for breakfast instead of two. This was VERY disappointing.

For our purpose the location was perfect. Also, the building itself was gorgeous. The interior design of the room was great.

Location of that lovely hotel is just perfect if you travel by car, cause it's just 3 minutes from highway number 1.
