Bar service poor, pool opened only until 20 o clock. Housekeeping knocking all the time on the door with some unwanted service. Reception desk did have an technical issue with payments processing...

Not much...average for the money. Breakfast was quite nice as well as people serving breakfast.

Resort fee was quite high considering there was no snow, so activities available were more limited. Bartender was incredibly slow (there were very few patrons). Would like more dinner choices at grill. Preferred restaurants down in town for the traditional dishes.

Room views were incredible. Bellboy/car folks and wait and front desk staff were phenomenal! Outdoor pool was amazing.

The personnel is the soul of this hotel! Everyone is at their best to make you feel very welcome and staff is attentive to your requests and details. We had our wedding day celebration followed by long spa weekend with the extended family. Almost all our booked rooms featured a fireplace and all look really gorgeous with fantastic mountain view. Both Panorama and other side mountain views were heavenly. Everything was on a 5-star hotel level and nothing has disappointed us. In the restaurant (main) our celebratory dinner was unforgettable also thanks to the waitresses that were very attentive and created for us great atmosphere. They even prepared a wedding cake as per our wishes. Big Thank You to Lady in Red Anna Zahradka for organising this for us so we didn`t have to deliver it from the city. Breakfasts were one of the best I had in a while - great selection and tasty hot dishes from a-la-carte. And here as well, service was best in class. We really appreciated staff making us smile in the morning and especially we appreciated Lidiia, who was kind and attentive every single day of our stay. Thank you Lidiia for all your care and great mood! All of this of course, is on top of the gorgeous location, views and the design of the hotel. Spa is very well maintained, had all what you need/expect and we could really enjoy heated outdoor pool (especially during snowfall this was as in a fairytale). Rooms are beautiful, with top notch design and always kept clean. If by car, hotel is not far from amazing mountain lake Königssee. Hiking around was great too.

The reception was understaffed when we checked in, you wouldn't expect this at such a hotel category. 2/3 of the restaurants were closed (only opened on certain days at the end of the week). The bar service could have been better.

The superior rooms had a small vertical window strip into the bathroom which indicated the room was likely intended for couples; a minor inconvenience for privacy but no issue.

I loved the interior of the room and hotel, the pleasant service and stunning surroundings. Overall a great experience that I would recommend to try, especially in combination with the hiking possibilities, history of the area, accessible public transport and various other activities.

Firstly, the hotel's entrance area is spacious but feels underutilized. It lacks a certain warmth or inviting quality you might expect from a hotel of this caliber. This extends to the bar area, which, while functional, misses the mark on coziness. The overall ambiance of the hall is more akin to an exhibition space, lacking the elegant and welcoming vibe we've experienced in other high-end hotels. While the staff is undoubtedly professional and well-trained, their approach sometimes gives off a more impersonal, big-chain hotel feel. Another point of contention is the parking fee. While understandable in a city center location, it seems out of place here, given the hotel's more isolated setting. Most guests, like us, arrive by car due to the location, and an additional charge for parking feels unnecessary.

Berchtesgaden has always been one of our favorite spots for our holidays or weekend getaways. In this area, we particularly like staying at the Kempinski Hotel because of its location. It's right in the middle of nature, surrounded by forests and hills, which is great for hiking. The area around the hotel is also historically significant due to its connections with the Nazi regime. For those interested in World War II history, this adds an educational aspect to the visit. One part of the hotel we really enjoy is the spa area. It has both indoor and outdoor pools and feels spacious and well-designed. Also, the breakfast being available until 12pm on weekends is a nice touch, offering a wide variety of choices. Our room had an indoor electric fireplace, which was particularly nice in the late autumn and winter. It made the room feel really cozy.
