How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The location is beautiful, close to the Schlahtensee and the Krumme Lanke. Small hotel but feels like home.

I'm very satified with my two day stay. The Phillips air purifiers in the common areas were a very welcome sight. The breakfast was good and the service personnel were very friendly and helpful. Located in a nice neighborhood.

As long as I am remembering the right hotel, every single staff person was nice! Completely the opposite of the next hotel I stayed at, which also happened to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed. Wish I could have just stayed at this one which was so so so much better than Stuggarter Eck!

It would be more convenient if one could serve oneself coffee/tea at breakfast. I am also not a fan of a permanent carpet. But these are minor issues. It's a great place anyhow.
Quiet neighborhood, close to S-bahn 1 and the lakes. On the arrival we were welcomed by a very nice fellow, speaking good English. Breakfast was tasty. Would love to come back!

This time we had a room facing the side and front of the hotel, and the shrieking s bahn behind the trees kept us awake for a bit. The rooms on the back are really quiet, I know from last time. Of course you can close the windows, but we like the fresh air
Location - in quiet and leafy Zehlendorf, always a pleasure to come there. Comfort of the rooms, very calm, good beds, nice breakfast for a small extra fee. Safe and free parking. S bahn into town nearby ( this takes you 45 minutes) Cosy, family atmosphere but still very professional.

I missed a water cooker to make coffee or tea. In Summertime it can be very hot and there was no ventilator.
Breakfast was worth the money. Nice hotel in quiet area. SBahn Mexico Platz nearby so convenient access to Berlin Center.

Look no further. Perfect location in a leafy quiet neighbourhood five minute walk from Mexikoplz. S-Bahn Station. Walking distance to Schlachtensee swimming and Fischerhütte Restaurant/Biergarten. Modern rooms and big windows with updated bathrooms. Fast WiFi, decent breakfast, and friendly staff. Ideally situated launching point for excursions to Potadam and Central Berlin.

Capricious occupancy led me to make a reservation and confirm the occupancy through third party website in advance, yet with the higher price than the past instead. Abrupt interruption of housekeeping ladies could be avoided if remarked your demand in advance.
One of the Front desk staffs during the period was helpful in most ways to make the stay comfortable yet the breakfast could have been developed.

Everything! I booked my trip to arrive exactly on Sep 20, however after checking that the time that I would arrive would have been a little late for the check in time, I decided to contact the hotel explaining that I would arrive a little bit later than expected, then they said that there was no problem and that they will send an email with the procedures for when I arrive.Till then everything was fine, I received the email and everything was clear. Everything changed of picture when my bus ended up getting even late, it only took off around 1 am in the morning (From Poland) meaning that I would arrive in 🇩🇪by 8 am of the next day (21/09/22) . Stressed out with the situation I forgot to call again to say that the time has changed but since I DID NOT CANCEL MY STAYING, I had in mind that I would at least have the one night left. So the moment I arrived in Germany (21 sept 8 am); I immediately headed to the hotel . Arriving there the same man I talked to on the phone explaining that I would arrive late (in the first time I called) ; told me that my room was given to someone else and there was nothing he could do. I was speechless and honestly didn’t know what to do. My thoughts were: I’m going to sleep In the streets? To make things even worst it happened that I had payed two nights and for two people which made me waste even more money because i didn’t check the number of people, this means that if In reality I had come with one more person it would be two people with no place to sleep. How convenient I sat there not knowing what to do since my place was taken without even receiving any information about it, at least telling me that they were about to give my room to someone else, but they didn’t call no email, simply nothing regarding that. The man ended up feeling bad and decided to give me as a room the space where the staff put the towels, the bed shits and so… I never felt so humiliated in my whole life, basical payed for a room I didn’t even see.
