Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

TurkeyButton that we use in the sink was not working while we get into the room. We didn’t use cold water in the first time. It was bad experience since we need to get out quickly from the room. However, we waited half an hour to get the problem solved. We expected that the room was controlled before we make check in. It was not a big deal but experiencing these kind of problems in a hotels like Meridien is not something we used to see a lot.

AustraliaThe area outside the hotel and the two blocks back to the old city are fairly confronting. Being opposite the main raily station, it can be busy but with lots of homeless and beggars.

United KingdomOnly issue I had was I travelled with a group of friends and we stayed on different floors. If we wanted to go to another floor it was not possible which was a bummer. The key only allowed you to your floor and not another floor. Another thing that put me off was outside the hotel to the side street which was as if you walked into a ghetto in the middle east.
Location was right opposite the Munich Hbf station and a 10 min walk to Marienplatz the centre. Plenty of eateries along the way. Good bar in the hotel with very friendly staff at the bar. Room was spacious and clean. Very comfortable bed. There was a small fridge in every room as well. Very good pool and sauna open till late and 24 hrs gym

United KingdomThe room was ideal and on 6th floor. Unfortunately the shower head kept slipping down and didn't seem to click into position. The air condition in the room was rather noisy and woke us up during the night. We also didn't except to see a mouse in the bar!!
We have stayed in Le Méridien several times and we always enjoy it. The staff at reception are welcoming and helpful. We had an upgrade over looking the garden which was a quiet room and pleasant. The bar was also quite lively in the evening, much more so than in the past but enjoyable. The location of the hotel is excellent as in close proximity to the Hauptbahnhof and ideal for travelling to the Messe Munchen, Marienplatz etc.

United KingdomSwimming pool was freezing, not able to swim due to cold temperatures and certainly not in keeping with “wellness suite”. When enquired about temperature we were told nothing could be done. Not suitable for children (or adults!). Conversely temperature in the rooms was very uncomfortably warm despite setting air con to lowest setting. We had breakfast elsewhere due to extortionate pricing of €38 per person per day. Finally for a “luxury” hotel we were quite surprised at the lack of quality tea and coffee products in the room. Cheap teabags and paper cups with wood stirrers wasn’t exactly on brand!
