How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Beds not comfortable. Restaurant downstairs doesn’t serve coffee in the evening !!!!
Perfect location just 4 mins away from Europa Park. Staff were very helpful. Good value for money. Clean. Breakfast is normal.

A little bit could in the room.
Clean and confortabile. Very good English breakfast. In addition, at the reception you can ask for a voucher for Europa park or Rulantica parking for the vehicle.

The room was a little cold, but they was a space heater available in the room, so that was easily fixed.
Great location, 3 minute drive from Rulantica and a little further to Europa Park. Friendly staff, easy (and early) check in, nice breakfast buffet, and the price was great! (Our visit was in the winter so can’t speak to the price year round however we paid €60 for a room that could have slept 4, with a kitchenette) We we’re even given a parking pass for the park at no extra cost

My stay at the Gästehaus am Wasserpark was very nice. Easy check-in. Very large and super clean room. Nice staff and the breakfast made my stay really comfortable. Very close to Europapark and Rullantica.

Since there is a roof window, we can't open the window while the shutters are down. The instructions to get the keys were not that clear considering the reception was closed when we arrived.
The location was excellent and there are parking spots just in front of the hotel. The bed was good. Breakfast was good, even though the selection was limited.

Squeaky and quite uncomfortable beds, especially the single bed while is too short for a teenager. Staff doesn't actually know how the public transportation works in the village or how to get to the parks fastest without a car, like on foot. Lost quite some time in the morning waiting at the wrong bus stop, ended up in Europa Park instead of Rulantica and had to make a detour.
Close to everything you might want to do. Good breakfast.

Everything is much used and old.
Price/benefit comparison is good. Rust is relatively expensive place. Also check-in is very smooth. Breakfast was good. I liked the idea of having tables numbered

Since it was hot we would have loved for there to be AC. We did have a fan but it's not the same.
Location was great, there was 2 different grocery stores near by. Breakfast served was great!

The front desk is staffed for only a few hours a day in the morning before check-in is allowed. We arrived during this time, however there was no one there and we had to walk into the restaurant and ask a member of the kitchen staff for assistance. There is no place to store luggage until check-in, so if you are planning on visiting either Europa park or Rulantica you will be instructed to leave your luggage items in the car until check-in. It would be nice to offer luggage storage services or to be allowed to leave luggage in the room while it is being cleaned/prepared. Also, our room was on the top floor with one window and only one working fan, so if you are visiting in summer be aware that it will be hot in the room. Another note is that there is a restaurant next to the property that has a rooftop club atmosphere, they play music quite loudly until 10pm.
The room was clean and a good size for a family of 4. The location is central to both Rulantica and Europa park, it is about a 20 minute walk to the main entrance of Europa Park, or there is a shuttle available just down the street as well. Located close to restaurants, grocery store and bakery are just a few steps from the hotel property. A nice breakfast included in the room rate with both hot and cold food options.

Some noise of people speaking outside of the room could be heard. There was no elevator for the baby stroller.
The location was relatively good, not far from both parks, and especially not far from a bus stop which would take you to any of them. The breakfast was quite good and the staff was quite nice as well. It also had a very nice restaurant (The Grill) in the nearby.
