Only 2 little details were missing for us: 1. No blackout curtains - it got really bright really early, so our kids were waking up earlier than they would have in the dark room. 2. No kettle in the room.

It's a beautiful place surrounded by stunning nature, and our room exceeded our expectations - it was huge and with a lot of attention to detail. We also very much enjoyed breakfast, brewery and Kahnfahrt.

Most things were nice, the only comment i would have is that the bed was not very comfortable, but besides that, nothing to complain.

The hotel is very nice and pretty. The room was very comfortable, well cleaned and although small, well planned. We got an upgrade to a room with a nice balcony with view to the river. They have direct contact to the brewery and they have nice food and its a pretty place to eat. Staff was nice and helpful when we had questions before arriving. They also have a parking place for free, which was nice. The city is quite small so the hotel is basically in the main street. We went there on winter to do a whisky tasting in a place almost in front of the hotel, which i also recommend, so it's a cool getaway for a weekend out of Berlin. (they seem to have boats and kayaks, but it was cold so we did not try that out).

Restaurant closes too early so had to drive out for food. No air conditioning in the rooms.

Overall very nice place by a river with possibility of trips. Amazing garden to chill. Staff very nice and helpful. Food really tasty although a little expensive.

Beautiful location in the woods, very upscale, lots of space in the rooms where we stayed. The 2 levels made it feel so big! The Brauhaus next to the resort and lots of local choices and delicious food! Very close to the Tropical Islands water park!

This is an excellent choice when visiting the Spreewald. Our room was spacious, nicely appointed, with a walk-in shower and large deck. The hotel combines modern chic with traditional elements and their brauhouse beer, especially the dunkel, is excellent. There is also an attractive bar as well as several outdoor seating areas. There are ample parking and bike storage facilities. Directly at the hotel you can take a kahn tour on the canals or rent your own kayak. We found these canals more interesting than some others nearby, with locks and artwork adding to the experience. We also did a 30km bicycle round trip through interesting countryside to Lubben, which is very attractive. As well, there is a whiskey distillery and a museum just down the street from the hotel. All-in-all, you can't go wrong staying here.

The bed and the small room.

The surrounding is beyond awesome - you can rent a kayak and explore the village (our 3yo enjoyed the 2hr ride), you can sunbathe next to the river on the lawn, and it takes us only 10mins to the Tropical Island. The room is small, so does the bed. Breakfast is good if you fancy typical German breakfast and a wide variation of tea. The premise itself is beyond sparkling clean and the Brewery restaurant is also awesome.

- spot on the sheets - carpet floor, also with spots - dirty mirror - did not feel safe on the way from the parking lot to the suite…way too dark - you can literally look inside the bathroom, no blinds?! I put pillows in front - no mini fridge or AC (I sweated a lot)
