We booked a room with A/C because we thought it might get warm (especially if you want to keep the windows open at night when there might be people dining or walking by outside). However on arrival they gave us the keys to a room without A/C. After bringing this to our attention we were fortunately changed to an even better A/C room, though I have no idea why the mix-up. I don't think all rooms have A/C so best to inquire to be sure what you booked. Note the parking is extra as well as the pricey city-tax per person per night.

Located at the edge of the historic city, it was an ideal place to stay with public parking garages only a few blocks away. We were able to drive up to the hotel to check-in and drop off our bags, then park the car to nearby. It has a nice view of the lake and the room we stayed was clean and comfortable. The historic town and castle are just outside for you to explore and enjoy. The breakfast was also very good with lots of seating. Overall a good choice in this scenic town.

The only thing we were missing were options for warm drinks in the rooms. We were expecting a standard coffee machine or kettle, but unfortunately that could not be provided.

My family and I were staying at the hotel for several days, and it has been simply incredible. The rooms were beautiful, convenient and clean. Staff was exceptionally friendly, accommodating all our requests with a warm smile. Breakfast is no less than perfect, with a huge variety of options. And, when something was missing they improved immediately. In terms of location, it is ideal. We all had a wonderful time there.

Mountain view rooms are smaller and not modern (except fot the bathroom and beds) and do not have air conditioning. Sleeping with the window open to cool down the room is not possible as heavy traffic to the ferry to Constance starting at 5:30 will wake you up.

Rooms with lake view are modern, quiet, spacious to very spacious and equipped with air conditioning and minibar. Very good beds. Huge breakfast buffet is available. Friendly staff willing to accommodate the customer.

i guess we lucked out on the location of the room. Got sidewalk side, windows opened in room, not frosted and we could see pedestrians walking by, they could look in room if they peaked at the window. asked for upgrade and price was astronomical for one night. They only had upper floor lake side. we are not sure if our room is a room reserved for booking.com…also no AC so be aware as we could not keep windows closed to get some freshness.

It's not a total deal breaker, but try not to get a room on the first floor "city view". Your window will be right on the street.

Meersburg is a beautiful town. The hotel is in a perfect location, and breakfast was very good, but busy. I suggest going early on a holiday morning.

I arrived at 07:00 in the breakfast restaurant , when the cleaning / preparation were still in progress, so that persons had to have breakfast with personnel still cleaning , and the buffet bar still in preparation. I suggest therefore to delay the breakfast start time at 07:15, or anticipate the cleaning by 15 min. at least the small breakfast room. Anyway, breakfast room waiters were very , very kind.

Very nice location, friendly reception, and very clean rooms. Breakfast was good with reasonable selection. Parking is not on site, but you're able to unload your luggage before shifting the car to the carpark which is a short distance away. Overall excellent stay and highly recommended if you are in the area.

The view from the 1st floor rooms towards the lake is over a large flat roof of the restaurant, this should be mentioned in the reservations and cannot be sold as lake view (see photo) Dinners in the restaurant are costly but quite average, the wine selection is extremely poor. Staff is partly untrained and not always coordinated, though friendly and kind. There is still a lot or work to do to give some soul to this hotel, in this splendidly located building with a long tradition.

the location is great, the view from the upper rooms over the lake is very nice. Breakfast selection is varied and generous, there is also a (too) small selection of local product. The hotel has just been reopened after a full renovation, everything is new and shiny (though quite some bits and pieces still missing when we were there in September 2022). Forgot my telephone charger in the room, reception kindly sent it to my home address within two days. Staff is generally friendly and kind.

I had to regularly renew the WiFi multiple times on a daily basis. This should be set up so it's only needed one time after check-in. There was live music in the restaurant during our stay. We would have enjoyed it more if the music was more "international" vs. German ballads.

The location is excellent. The room was comfortable. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic, and the restaurant one of the best in Meersburg.

A dance party happening in the hotel at the weekend. But this can happen everywhere. And Meersburg, nearby, is a kind of Bodensee shopping touristic village for retreated people. More a place fifty plus, but well reachable by ferry boats. Has its qualities ...

The WiFi will trow you out every half a day and you have to re-register. Ina ddition the new smart TVs are not connected to WiFi so you cannot use the smart features.

The wole building (from 15 century) is newly renovated and directly on the lake. Very nice!
