There were a lot of steps (the hostel is above a Chinese restaurant), which were a little problematic as I have reduced mobility, but most people would not find them to be an issue.

The key was collected at reception. Easy parking outside the property. The room was spotlessly clean. Within easy reach of bars and restaurants - we especially liked Bar Valery. It was possible to upgrade to a sea view which would probably have been nicer, but as we were using it as an overnight stop on our travels we didn't do this.

The shower head wouldn't stay up or locked in so it was tricky to shower properly.

Location was great for beachfront access, considering it is next to a late night bar, the noise wasn't too bad at all. Clean room and the mini fridge was welcomed. Great for a 1 or 2 night stay. Aircon also worked well!

The reception area is what it is. Very much what you would expect from a hostel. But there is no lift so it was a little hard to get a baby buggy up the stairs. But we managed ok :-) Might be a bit tougher with lots of heavy luggage but as we were only there for one night it didn’t bother us too much. Parking on a Sunday was also quite hard but we managed to get a space a few blocks away on a back street.

We booked a quadruple room for one night and were happy to find that it had 2 separate bedrooms with comfortable beds, very clean linens and mattresses, excellent air conditioning and a lovely big balcony looking directly over the sea. The balcony is furnished nicely and a lot of effort has gone into making the place more hospitable than its price tag would suggest. There are more expensive properties on the Playa that haven’t had a lick of paint or a change of furnishings in decades, so this was a nice surprise! Our room was located right above the Chinese restaurant and parallel to a night bar that was hosting a party for at least 200 young people that night so we were worried about noise, but the only thing we heard all night was the lovely sounds of the waves crashing along the beach :-) If you’re looking for an affordable option in a great location, this place is certainly a good choice.

no staff onsite so needed to call and wait 5-10 mins for them to arrive so we could check in. No drinking water provided or available to purchase so a visit to a shop is needed

I had a room booked just for a night. They left the key within the room since there were nobody to checked us in. The room was clean as well as the bathroom. No noise and very confy

Check was meant to be at 12pm. Arrived just after 1pm & the room was still being cleaned. The pictures on the website of their rooms are VERY misleading. The room that we were allocated certainly did not look like any of the pictures on their website. The bedding was completely different & the bathroom shows windows on their website, we had no windows. It was very dark & smelly. I would most definitely have not have booked the room we were allocated. Toilet seat loose Cobwebs above TV & in bathroom behind door. Plastic mattress protectors on beds. TV wall socket hanging off wall. Door to balcony damaged & didn’t lock properly.

Cannot fault the location & the view.

The other guests were really noisy when they came in from about 3 am to 7 am. We've since found out that this is a regular occurrence. I wouldn't stay there again. No staff apart from booking in.

The room was very small. The door to the balcony was not a secure one, the catch was hit and miss. The bathroom had a loose toilet which almost toppled over. There was a makeshift plastic holder on the shower wall which was of no use to hold gel, soap etc. Testing some of the surfaces in the bathroom and also the bedroom we found they had not been cleaned properly, very dusty and dirty. We had arranged to be there between 12 and 1pm but it was empty and we had to ring to get someone to come and let us in. We only stayed one night after paying for three, altogether not an experience we would wish to repeat.

The view was good and the area was where we wanted to be with many bars and restaurants near.

Unfortunately the shower has a small wall to stop water leaking. When we arrived the shower curtain was outside the wall and you could not see it we had a little flood! But nothing really just needs the cleaner to put the curtain inside.

So in January it's €50 per rppm with sea view and balcony. The rooms are basic but quite adequate.

The room we received was quite compact, which led us to decide it didn’t meet our needs. After a quick shower, we opted to switch to another hotel. In hindsight, I acknowledge that a more thorough research prior to our impromptu reservation could have helped us find a better fit for our preferences.

The fact that the hotel was next door to a nightclub and the music didn't finish until 5.30am was very frustrating. None of our party slept and we had had a very long journey on the day of our arrival so that didn´t help.

The welcome and staff were good - even making a small fridge available for my son's medication.
