Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandThe cupboard in the bedroom was broken and only had one door (which was in fact falling off). The road outside meant we could hear traffic and people generally.
Breakfast was very good with plenty of variety. Coffee machine was very smart and made excellent coffee. I hate to think what it cost but a second one would be beneficial to the queue. The courtyard currently "growing" will be quiet beautiful I am sure once it maturates an will no doubt become a very calm place to reflect. The Owner was VERY professional and courteous and we certainly wish hi the best of luck in the development of the hotel.

United KingdomSadly someone set a fire on the side of the Island to clear scrub land. The fire took hold and burned a lot of land, homes and buildings. It turned out to be one hell of a night, helping the owner Leonel and his beautiful partner who are absolute stars, flood the land around them, by any means possible. Was quite a sight seeing all the fires approaching in the distance. We got evacuated by the Police at 5am in the morning, which was a little scary. We were told that the brand new Eco pods, the house, everything was gone. We had to find alternative accommodation, which proved a challenge. Thankfully and by luck only, we booked into one of the best hotels on the island and were given their Penthouse suit. As an added Bonus they had a Trance Party every Friday called Purple Fridays on the lower cliff bar which was just priceless. To add to our good fortune we found out the next day that our amazing hosts had some amazing news. Apart from some burned trees and some damage to basic bits the whole property and all the pods survived. We couldn't believe it. Such fantastic news , and so pleased my night of fire fighting helped. We now have some new friends for life.
The whole place was absolutely perfect. We will be booking again for next year.

AustriaCheck-In was a little confusing but we had great help from the staff.
Very good breakfast - a little different as you may know from big Hotels, but this is the key - quality over quantity. Very familiar feeling. There are several good restaurants nearby.

The service and the friendliness of the family that owns the hotel make us feel like home, the breakfast offers are also amazing. They made a mistake with our booking but they solved it professionally and let us stay in the neighborhood hotel for a night. Not to mention the room is super clean and modern. Everything was perfect

IsraelOur room (#5) had a glass door facing the common patio & the pool. One can use the shades, but it is not very easy to use and privacy is not great - especially if you're a late morning person and people are at the (miniature but lovely) pool. We where aware it is a small room, so not disappointed, but it is small and without any windows (outside the glass door). Pool water are cold and it is very very small - fit for maybe 2-3 people and it becomes very intimate :-) Especially as all the other rooms are facing it. Parking is really an issue and my best recommendation is to park opposite of the gas station at the town entrance & walk ~5-7 min up to the hotel. streets are very narrow and no parking available. Location is rather central, but there is ~1 hour drive to anything interesting around Palma (~30 min to the city). It is close to the island highway, but If there is specific area you like, I's suggest to stay closer.
Great, attentive and knowledgeable staff, room is super clean, modern lobby & great breakfast with some local-flavors. Bread is amazing, fresh fruits and great verity. loved it. Very comfy beds and room has everything you need, including a small fridge. Very quiet place - cold water, coffee & tea are available 24/7 - great for the end of the day (usually ~23:00) - sit at the patio, next to the pool, with a good espresso. Great hub for cyclists...

United StatesParking in front (or even nearby on street) of the hotel is only if you are lucky thus making a bit confusing. We had to unload our bags quickly as to not block cars trying to get by and then drive a few minutes away to a free lot. There were 2 lots we found. The closest never had an open spot but the other always did. We did not mind at all though as it was nice to walk the old streets.
Quiet, clean, great location and wonderful breakfast. Complimentary water, coffee and tea available which was nice.
