Wow. Super Cosy hotel in the heart of Santillana. Really authentic and super friendly staff. I would have rated it 10, but one of my clients was allergic to mold and got sick. So if you have allergies take that into account, but if not please stay here in Santiallana!

April. And not much open for tourists. Very annoying

Central location. Historical building. Spotlessly clean. We arrived by motorcycle and were allowed secure parking within the gates. Probably not allowed in summer months. Breakfast was ok. Enough to suffice till lunch time. Lots of sweet things. No eggs. But meats and cheese. Cereal and yogurt

Because the hotel is old, you hear your neighbors, and doors are sometimes hard to close, ie more noise. The towels were thin. It would have been nice to have a small refrigerator in the room. There was street noise.

The hotel is a very old building and the owners have kept it that way. Tons of character. Right on the main street with lots of restaurants around. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was good.

Nothing - we loved it. There is no parking at the hotel, but that wasn't really a problem. We parked outside the hotel temporarily to check in and leave our bags, and then moved the car to the main town car park (a few euros a day) which was only a five minute walk away. Plenty of spaces always available when we were there (but that was October and I guess it might be much busier in the summer).

Amazing hotel - beautiful historic building!! Location was incredible - Santillana Del Mar is beyond beautiful. Amazing old buildings and cobbled streets. Took so many photographs! Loads of nice bars and restaurants very close by, so we were spoilt for choice in the evenings. Everywhere in town is within walking distance from the hotel.

Dropping off luggage was a bit tricky but manageable. Parking was not too far away.

Underwhelming room furniture. Unsecured headboard so it moved and made noice every time you move in bed. We could have used a desk and chair. TV was size A4, so it’s useless but has a VERY bright red light that is on the whole time. Quite annoying in the night. The breakfast was terrible. Burnt coffee, slightly dry bread and pastries and all on the sweet side. Would have loved the simple continental with local butter or marmalade. Instead, they have extra sweet individually packed cheap butter jam/marmalade. An unsightly and unsustainable option which contrasts with the lovely atmosphere of the Hotel.

Well situated classic hotel. Nice communal areas and large ventilated rooms.

Amazing former palace and really a step into history. Nice room at upper floor and good buffet breakfast. Location in the heart of the historic town and few minutes walk from public parking for €4 p/d.

My room was in the roof which meant it was hot and there was no air conditioning.

The building was amazing - really atmospheric with some sitting rooms to relax in. A really special place. Staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was good. The location was perfect, right in the centre. I also thought it was really good value for money, particularly when compared to the parador.

We couldnt open the window of the room so we felt humidity alot.

It was very comfortable to reach the hotel and also parking was very near.

Kitchen to make tea or coffee opened at 9AM, which was too late for me to make anything before tours began. It was also very loud and warm at night. There was no air conditioning so we had to keep the window open.

Great location near many restaurants, also near Mount Urgull and Concha Beach. The bathroom and room were very clean. It was also easy to check in. We really liked the patio overlooking the restaurants.

Some parts of the breakfast were a little stale.

This is a beautiful old hotel, comfortable, quiet, and packed with antiques. The breakfast - talked down by other reviewers - was really pretty good and the staff were friendly and helpful. The town is wonderful and well worth a visit. We had good instructions from the hotel about parking and luggage drop off, in Spanish and English, as car access is restricted. The car park is cheap and not far away.
