I love that it was located in Albaicin because I wanted to stay near the Grand Mosque of Granada. It was amazing that it was located in a historic location. Lovely atmosphere and lovely staff. It also had the traditional vibes~

The neighborhood is difficult to access with a car. This is not a problem if you don't mind parking outside and walking for 10-15 minutes.

Amaka house is located in a beautiful neighborhood, and the place itself is charming and full of character. The personnel was unbelievably friendly. We arrived very late at night and they waited up for us and guided us on the phone.

I loved this hostel! My friend & I stayed in twin room. Room had a sink which was handy, shared shower room was standard for hostel (timed), but the communal areas (hammock, courtyard, chill room, kitchen) & the vibe (relaxed, friendly & down to earth; met lovely & varied fellow travellers & there's even a sociable resident terrapin & cat) was what really set Amaka House apart. Absolutely the kind of hostel I'm always trying to find.

It was not clear towel are not included and the bathroom is mixed, sometimes it can be not so easy to manage.

I loved how the place has been characterized and the good mood around. The room are big and there are many common areas.

I stayed in the female dorm and it was comfortable but the bathroom has no full walls, meaning that you don’t see the other but you can hear them. So if you have any anxiety doing your business with people hearing you, then you need to wait for the room to be empty.. it’s also pretty noisy for others who want to sleep and you’re brushing your teeth. Also, the indoor common area is a bit small so it’s hard to meet others. Its not a super sociable hostel.

The location is unbeatable. From here you can walk anywhere and there’s lots of great food, shopping, bars, public transportation within 10 min walking. Staff is also very friendly!

Don't expect wifi in all rooms, but the patio area is a perfect place to relax and the wifi works fine there.

Excellent location for exploring the best sites in Granada. You are walking distance to the busier sites in Granada but tucked away in a quiet and peaceful courtyard.

Noisy selfish guests at silly o’clock through the night woke us on our restful holiday.

Historical. Traditional Spanish authentic. Good generous kitchen facilities and tea / coffee, large table & seating area. Diverse clientele. Gorgeous inner courtyard garden. Unspoiled Spanish architecture and wooden elevations and beams. Hot showers. Free soap n shampoo.

the kitchen was not heated and so as it was january it was quite cold.

Very nice hostel with a terrace with hammocks which must be great in summer. The staff was also really nice and they have a kitchen with everything you need. One top of that the hostel is located in the old part of the town which is beautiful!

Had such a lovely stay at Amaka house, ver lovely and accommodating family. Me and my friend stayed for 5 nights and we would definitely come back. Great location in the old part of town and the hostel itself is very cute and picturesque. It is very relaxed and quiet, exactly what we were looking for.

The location was great. near miradores and away from the hustle. Kitchen was well equipped and the rooms were ok. The lockers were not inside the room. They were strangely in the basement. The communal area was in the open which maybe great in spring or summer but would be too cold for anyone to hang out in, during other times of the year. The beds were weird. My female-only room had 4 beds stacked on top of each other.. right upto the ceiling which made it kinda feel like a coffin. Too little space between each bed in the dorm. This was my first experience in a hostel so I didnt have anything to compare it with. But now that i've stayed in many more, I could tell that this place was decent if you needed a bed, but may not be great if you want to socialize.

    Great location, homely place.

My bed was small, and it was in dangerously high. The city center is not that close, and you have to walk up to a hill.
