Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GermanyThe office where we picked up the keys has a long break in the middle of the day (as did several shops in the area). I knew this in advance, so I didn't mind waiting when we got to Lloret earlier than anticipated, but it would have been nicer if we could have had a 24 hour reception like a hotel or a safe box to get the keys from. There was only one washing machine for all the apartments to share. I knew this in advance, so I wasn't disappointed, but two or three would have been better as we had to wait for other people's loads to finish. I had hoped that the town would have more celebrations going on in the street or at local venues for Xmas and New Year.
I booked this property after doing a lot of research to compare against other seaside towns. I chose Lloret de Mar because it was easy to get to from Barcelona on public transport and because of the nice cove beach with rocks and a castle at either end (nicer than a long straight stretch of sand, in my opinion). The staff at Diamond House where we picked up the keys were friendly, helpful and available (we were given a WhatsApp number to call or text should we have any issues). Although the furnishings and bathroom fittings were not perfect, everything was very clean and in full working order. It looked exactly like the photos. Since it was winter, it was not at all busy, so no desperate attempts to find a tiny spot of sand to sit on at the beach.
