Artrip Hotel is in an excellent location - Lavapiès is a great neighbourhood. If you want to feel like you're right in town, get a room at the front of the hotel overlooking the street. The room was really pretty and calm.

My only complaint is that there is no closet or place to hang towels in bathroom.

Although pictures are misleading, this hotel is a great location near to Reina Sofia. The room was large and comfortable and I was greeted with free water and a small bottle of wine. Bed was very comfortable.

Loved this hotel! Super cute, “boutique” type of hotel. We had a nice balcony coming off of our room, and it was a very spacious room as well. The bed was comfortable, we had a ceiling fan as well as air conditioning in the room. There was a very nice coffee machine for guests to use in the lobby. We met the owner of the hotel as well and he was very friendly!

For a two star hotel, this gem of a place offers a phenomenal service to its guests. The staff are just fabulous, and such an asset to the business. Javier, in particular, is a happy, friendly young man who goes to great lengths to provide as much information as possible to every guest. The map with directions to places to visit, plus the additional booklet from the owners, is just a brilliant idea. Housekeeping was exceptional, and the hotel was spotlessly clean. My room was a good size, with a small (useable) balcony to the front of the hotel and was very comfortable. I liked the separate shower, toilet combo...a very clever use of space. Tea and fresh water available in the room, with more water, coffee, tea, biscuits and wine downstairs in the small lounge area. Loved the local art on display (and for sale), such a wonderful way to support local talent. Great location, with plenty of amenities close by.

Perfectly located in the art district near to very cool bars/ tapas bars. Metro a couple of minutes walk. Hotel staff so friendly and helpful.

The location was quite central but not in a very authentic neighborhood and quite near the Atocha train station that is not as 'pretty' as the historical center. The breakfast was not included but cost 10 EUR. We did not order it but could see it from other customers and we believe it could be improved with better ingredients.

The staff was very friendly and professional, always helpful and welcoming. The value was very good for the comfort that is provided by the hotel. The rooms were modern with up-to-date amenities. I highly recommend this place for a few nights in Madrid.

It was fantastic - no complaints at all!

The room was very well designed, comfortable and quiet. The location was perfect - a short walk from the station and 5-20 minutes walk from so many great areas. The staff were incredibly welcoming and the free coffee was a lovely touch. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel!
