Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomNothing. I stay here every time I visit Alaro. It is the best hotel in the village in my opinion. I have tried others out of necessity but Hotel Can Xim is my favourite by far.
Location, decor, easy to book and communicate. Breakfast selection super. Friendliness of staff. Beautiful aroma in public spaces upstairs. Spacious room.

United KingdomThe restaurant was not operational which was a disappointment, but the hotel's central location meant we could eat at an excellent restaurant close by.
Lovely traditional Spanish decor with a homely ambiance. Huge room and en-suite but retaining a cosy feeling. Enormous and extremely comfortable bed. Staff went the extra mile to make us feel welcomed and valued. We would not hesitate in staying here again.

lovely hotel situated on the square. Beautiful house and garden with pool. Sadly the restaurant was closed but looked stunning. Such a shame. The owner was so helpful and recommended places to eat etc. We ate up the road and had a lovely pizza meal with delicious wine. We only stayed one night to be near the airport and there was a singer and dancing in the square which was utterly charming if a little noisy as our room was at the front. But it did not matter and stopped at 12.

New ZealandLocation is fantastic. Right in the beautiful square of Alaró. Rooms are spacious and absolutely spotless. The bed was huge and comfy. Amazing shower. Beautiful, peaceful pool area. The evening menu from the restaurant is well worth trying. We dined two nights in a row it was so good - definitely one of our favourite meals of the holiday. We weren't able to get wifi in our room due to some outage in the village the days before we arrived, however, it was easily connected (and fast) in the common areas. Very convenient parking if you reserve and a delightful body of staff to make your stay comfortable. We would highly recommend Can Xim and the gorgeous village of Alaro.

The hotel is situated in the city square. Still it is a quiet place where you can taste the local atmosphere. There are many local restaurants nearby. Breakfast was served next to the garden and swimming pool. Wonderful.

The hotel is charming with comfortable spacious rooms. The breakfast is good, served overlooking the pool and garden. The pool area is tranquil. The restaurant has a good selection of delicious food and all the staff were very friendly and helpful.
