How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Nothing I didn't like. But if comparing to other hotels I have stayed in ,the food selection was a little bit limited.
Great location for the old town and within easy walking distance to the beach and the rest of the strip. Having stayed in many hotels in salou I honestly think the Cye Hotel offers more than most. Great for families with ample space and privacy. The kitchen area has a microwave toaster, two hob cooker, fridge with freezer. Food at the pool was very good and reasonably priced. Always good to see a lifeguard on duty. Required a late checkout and this was sorted at the front desk....

Reception staff never gave us any details of what the apartment offered or how to switch air con on tried ourselves an staff came straight away it turned out it was broken she said she had reported it to engineer who never arrived and we received no feedback

Too many students staying in the apartments it was like school outings they were well behaved but allover the hallways on our first night staying.

The noise level at night was disruptive, and we could hear the room above us moving furniture around all the time.Orherwise it was a pleasant stay.
The hotel is well located,easy walk to all areas.It was nice and the staff were friendly and helpful.The room was bright and clean .The bar food was well priced and good quality.

Been asked for a cash deposit on arrival (no credit card accepted for deposit) and had to wait for room inspection upon check out.
Room size (1 room + 2 sofas + extra bed) and balcony.

Entertainment was a bit poor . Could do with another mirror and an iron inthe apartment .
Really good value , Good choice of breakfast . Fantastic amenities. Apartments were spotless . €80 deposit was refunded as soon as you check out once the room had been inspected . Staff really friendly and helpful .

We were half board some evening some of the food was a little cooler than I would like.
Friendly apartments clean. Out away from all the noise but close to all tge amenities. Shops bars and restaurants a short stroll away. Beach is 5 min walk.

Playground area for kids has no lighting - disaster at night. Also has sandy gravel instead of tiles/artificial grass which is crazy considering most kids go there and then run to the pool with dirty feet. Food is ok - better to eat in outside restaurant than the sit down one as better value in the outdoor restaurant

Very noisy. Our room to the front and continuous noise from people.coming and going and traffic. Rooms at front should be treble.glazed. few issues with noise in hallway and rooms nearby. Pool far too small for the size of the hotel. Only around 80 sunloingers in total for such a big hotel. Families taking 3 and 4 sunbeds. Should be allocated per room or a fairer way. Second time to stay here. Location to beach and central.area perfect.
Good selection for breakfast. Lovely helpful dining, bar, cleaning and reception staff ..

Hotel was spotless clean and the area is nice and quiet. Staff were very helpful. Entertainment for the kids was good too. We were a group of 5 and grandparents loved the entertainment also. We plan to come back next year.

Excellent location , Giselle was so helpful our plane was delayed and she replied to my message really quickly and assured me that was ok . Reception staff were very friendly. Highly recommend staying here

Kitchen facilities wasn't great if you were planning on self catering. No oven and utensils, etc, were lacking. Also the airer on the balcony wasn't very big.
I liked the fact it was an apartment, but we still had hotel service, our room was cleaned daily and towels changed etc. Staff were very helpful.

Hard to think of anything!
Very clean! The location is the best part as it’s so close to everything while still being in a quiet spot. The staff were so friendly and helpful.
