Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

After riding bikes all day to this location, we were thrilled to be welcomed by Maria who graciously helped store our bikes and offered cold drinks from their bar. The sunset view from our room was spectacular and the robes were a luxury after a warm bath! Room service wine and olive delivery were much appreciated and Maria’s suggested wine choice was a winner! Dinner in their restaurant was delicious and our stay was thoroughly enjoyable!

We were delighted with the welcome, the room and the little extras we received at this lovely hotel. Our stay was made very comfortable and that was due to the care and diligence of the staff. We loved the location and the view from the terrace of our room was stunning.

IsraelLocation is a little off. The village has nothing in it and is 8 km from Cazorla which would be a better place to be. The room has only two power sockets in uncomfortable places.

United KingdomVery poor and meagre breakfast, described as "Continental " served at your table. No choices, had to ask for fruit the night before and got look of surprise that I wanted a banana (brown from the fridge but unripe) AND an apple. Decor overdone and fussy. Beds too firm. My husband found the whole place claustrophobic. Seemed like it was their idea of perfect and not open to change. No food at lunchtime. Dinner menu very limited and no effort to accommodate my milk and meat allergies which force me into a vegetarian diet. Salad was my only option. Rigidly managed. We won't be going back.
Area is beautiful and the hotel easy to find. Staff were friendly and food quite good
