How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

This is a great, friendly and clean hostel in a good location. The town of Tossa de Mar is really lovely, with some nice beaches, and walks.

only thing was one time cold water in shower in the evening
very chill, super nice, open and helpful staff! really cool terrasse, they offer breakfast and dinner bit there is also a kitchen for spending a bit less money:)

My stay was for 6 stars. Pablo and his family are very accommodating people. The location is 2 minutes from the beach, castle, 5 minutes from the bus station..

The location is amazing, close, to the beach, shops, bars and all the local sights. The staff were super friendly, communication was great, and the instructions were really clear and easy to follow. I'd be back in a heartbeat.

I first stayed at Mana Mana Hostel a long time ago when it just had very few beds. This year I was really impressed at what Pablo did to greatly improve the hostel. Que maravillosa!! I truly enjoyed my short stay in Tossa de Mar and am very glad I stayed again at Mana Mana hostel. Pablo is an amazing host y muy simpático. Moltes gràcies Pablito!!

Stayed here during the low season where there were very few other guests so sadly didn't get the full social experience but was there with a friend so had a fantastic time nonetheless. It's obvious a huge effort has been made to make the hostel really clean, well designed and homely, the chillout area complete with a piano was very nice as well as the lovely roof terrace! Pablo was a fantastic and friendly host and helped us see things we'd be interested in. It was also very convenient that there was a large space indoors for storing bikes, as we were there as part of a 3 day cycling trip!

They said there was breakfast on the roof but there wasn’t any :( Probably because we went during off-season and there were like 5 people in the hostel haha
Very cozy hostel, walkable from most attractions in Tossa de Mar. Clean rooms. Fresh sheets were provided at check in.

The hot water only lasts about 3-4 minutes. But That's a minor detail for this price.
The hospitality showed by the owners Freddie and Pablo was absolutely out of this world. De location is excellent and the facilities unbeatable at this price point. 10/10 would recommend.

It was amazing! Just two minutes to the beach and not far from the castle! The rooms were super and also the kitchen was quite okay. Also the roof terrace was really nice with a good view. But the best was Pablo - he tried to make everything possible and always was so kind! Definetly will come back one day ☺️ And by the way: Tossa de Mar is a really nice spot to calm down - especially off-season.

Nothing, it was perfect!
Tossa de Mar is beautiful, the hostel location is perfect, the rooms were clean, we had nice dinners with other guests in the terrace with home made food. You can rent a kayak and use beach umbrellas for free. Pablo is very sweet and helpful, we met amazing people and had an amazing time!

Everything was really nice! The owners of the hostel are very kind, helpful and friendly. It was clean all the time and the location is super!The hostel owners and the hostel itself make you feel like you are home. It’s like a family. Would definitely visit it again. Also, the roof terrace is really great.

I loved my stay in Mana Mana Hostel. From the moment I arrived I been warmly welcomed by Pablo, he is such a friendly and cool guy. It’s a family vibe there. You don’t feel alone because the people who stay there are also pretty friendly. Can’t wait to be back there. Pablo is a GREAT HOST. The location is perfect right in the middle of where you want to be, the hostel has a great vibe, the Terrance on the roof is wonderful. Every night they cook a family dinner on the roof with sangria and it creates a sense of community as everyone sits and eats together. The cooked food was 10/10. As we only stayed two nights we did one night at the hostel and one night out To dinner. It was perfect. The beds are comfortable and they provide adequate fans. We didn’t have any issue sleeping with noise or anything. The kitchen is available and we utilized it twice. You really can’t get a better location and value for the money. Thanks for having us!

In my opinion this is an hostel how it has to be! Just perfect. Pablo and the staff is really nice and tries to make your stay perfect. A good kitchen, living room and a terrace to meet together. At night Pablo organzises sometimes cheap and tasty dinners, its perfect to meet together. Also at the terrace is a bar to get good and cheap drinks. During the day the terrace is also good for working. Cheap laundry service is available as well. Location is perfect, close to everything. Go there, you will feel like home:)
