Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsI was very happy with everything...
Nice, big room with a comfortable bed. Decent sound-proofing and Wi-Fi. Excellent location close to the City of Arts and Sciences and a big mall with a food court. Several useful bus stops nearby, as well (Albufeira, city centre). I did not try the breakfast, but it looked good in the photos.

RomaniaThe water in the pool was very cold and the surroundings of the pool were disappointing.
The location is great, near the City of Arts and Science. Is also close to Oceanografic and Gulliver park. We had a big room and the child had its own bed.

BelgiumOur room was on the street side and especially in the morning you can hear the busy traffic. But in the end it was not so bad because after breakfast you have already forgotten about it :-).
The location was great and many nice sights nearby, as well as a large shopping center and nice restaurants. The breakfast was excellent. Breakfast was very extensive and an excellent service from the staff.

Romania- they took full advantage of the festival (Las Fallas) and doubled the prices for accommodation during that period - we didn't have breakfast, with the idea of evaluating on the spot if it's worth it - and from what I noticed and check it locally, it's not that diverse -> they asked us for 20 euros per person and 10 euros for a 5-year-old child, that is a 50 euros per family just for breakfast by day! you can find very good alternatives and cheaper in the immediate vicinity of cafes and restaurants - the hotel is far from the center, but with quite good connections - by public transport - half an hour to the old center or an hour to the airport (by metro) - the pool and spa are not very spacious
- they accepted our early check-in -> thank you! - they kept our luggage safe a few hours after check-out and almost unique in what I have encountered in hotels in Europe, they have a verification system for the recovery of the luggage from safe room by entering a unique code by a post it applied on the luggage -> thank you! - the room was modern and cleaned daily and we were provided with an extra bed for the child - the hotel is in the Les Artes district, 5 minutes away from the Hemispheric, the Science and the Oceanographic museums - a few minutes away there are many cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and even a mall nearby, including a hypermarket (Carrefour) and by public transport - half an hour to the beach

SwitzerlandFree Wifi is super poor. We have 2023! Since I needed proper internet connection, I am afraid, I had to deduct some points. Training facility and pool is quite outdated.
The room is nice and clean. The bed is comfy. Conveniently located next to Les Artes.

MexicoThe rooms are basic. The bed was not so comfortable, there were two matresses put together to make a big one so we had a slit in the middle. Also the sheets could be nicer quality, they felt cheep.
The Location is very good and the fact that they have a 24h reception was excelent as we arrived at midnight. Toiletries like soap and shampoo were very nice.

United KingdomWe stayed in a standard room. The white furniture was chipped in places. No tea & coffee making facilities in these rooms. A mirror above the desk would have been useful. The bar has only 3 small tables and lacks atmosphere . A large 4* Hotel should have a better bar area.
The Hotel is in an excellent location for the City of Arts and Sciences. You can also reach the town centre with a very pleasant 20 minute walk through the park Jardin del Turia. Breakfast was very good offering a lot of variety both continental and cooked. The bathroom was very clean and well decorated and there was plenty of good quality toiletries supplied. The Hotel has its own underground parking. It is a little tight but we have a large car & managed ok. The reception staff were friendly and helpful .

RomaniaThe pool is not heated. We paid 197 euro/night for a standard room without breakfast. No towels, slippers or bathrobe for the pool. More like a 3* than a 4* in terms of room size and facilities.
Close to the main attractions, indoor pool. Baby cot was provided alongside a cute baby hygiene kit.

NetherlandsThe staff wasn't the friendliest I've ever encountered in a hotel, but they were still helpful, ok overall but you would expect a bit more from such hotel. The swimming pool was a bit small compared to our expectations and this was a bit of an overkill. Overall we think that the hotel is a bit on the expensive side for what they offer.
The location is perfect, right in front of both a bus stop that easily connects with the city center and the metro to/from the airport and a bike rental shop. The hotel is literally 100 meters away from la Ciudad de las artes en las ciencias, and the neighbourhood is very safe and clean. The room was up to our expectations and it was absolutely clean and comfortable. The extra service bookable from an app/website were also amazing and fast.

United KingdomTo be expected, it was pretty expensive, but during the festivities that's no surprise.
The staff are really nice, and the room and wifi excellent. Nice towels and bath robe, complementary tea and coffee. We stayed here during the Fallas, it was a great base, good for the night time firework displays, and is good for the nearby museums. Plenty of places to eat nearby and well served by good public transport.

Great location if you don't want city centre/old town - lots going on around in newly developed area close to the Turia River, Palace of Arts and Sciences and the Hemisphere. Good transport links to Old Town (bus/new metro line 10). Rooms nicely decorated and very comfortable. Great views from our (upgraded) 11th floor room.
