It's really not a question of what we didn't like. Quoted with amenities is a restaurant, and yes, there is. However, it's used for business/weddings !! Not for hotel guests, which is misleading. Bfast is in the quaint old bar. €6 for tea/coffee a choice of toast or various pastries.

Historic building with special atmosphere at the edge of Vitoria, close to highway. Big room with big bathroom in an old building with very thick stone walls. Restaurant on site. Comfortable bed. Safe parking on site.

I usually expect a mild or cool room when lodging at an old palace, in wintertime; on the other hand, excluding the color of the old quilt, I actually felt warm for my entire staying

Very well preserved historical venue in the outskirt of Vitoria; hotel is connected to the center by bus, in a walking distance; unexpected comfort inside room, despite being styled as originally was; large free parking available on site; delicious food at its restaurant at interesting price; helpfull staff.

Would recommend this tidy hotel. Would have been nice to have an electric jug to make coffee or tea though.. Try the SEAFOOD DISH, crumbled squid, and a round type of cod ball also crumbled with chips. EXCELLENT!!!

All was fine

A very nice hotel with unique architecture and layout. Secure off road parking and a comfortable bed. A short walk from the hotel took us to a large park which was a nice way to spend an hour or so walking. It was late in the season so the restaurant wasn’t fully functioning but a simple and very pleasant meal was prepared for us in the bar. Good chilled draught beer was on tap. Breakfast was a help yourself buffet and more than adequate. It was a stop off point from travelling between the UK channel ports and southern Spain and was a great spot for our 2nd night

The shower was not well maintained and needed repairs.

Beautiful old palace with well kept grounds. Large bedroom and bathroom was a big plus. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent We had several very good traditional Basque dishes.

Our room had very small windows looking out to a roof, so no view of anything. Being an old building the rooms weren't very sound proof so we were disturbed by guests walking about and chatting at 1am. The hotel is about 2.5km from the city centre so its fairly long walk to get a meal or drink in the evening and back again - but its an easy route to follow.

Lovely character hotel, friendly helpful staff. Good parking facilities, Good breakfast buffet. Room a good size, comfortable bed and modern well fitted bathroom.

No free beer ! Shame it's at least a 1/2 hour walk from the city (which we knew in advance) but helpful landlord rdered us a taxi.

A lovely old hotel with a warm welcome. Breakfast was good. Bonus was finding the nature park within walking distance.
