Location, cleanliness, friendly staff, convenient to two key Metro stations

The renovations around the hotel was a bit annoying but it eventually didn’t bother me at all! Spain starts everything late so the working started when we already left the hotel 😄

On the Gran Via within a walking distance from just about everywhere . Monica and Silvia were exceptionally nice! Our room was on the 2nd floor and had a small porch which was nice, room had space and large bathroom and was clean.

Sandra, the receptionist is so lovely and helpful. She always smiles and happy at work, whatever time of the day. The breakfast is excellent, fresh fruits and juices. They have accommodated me for an early breakfast for an outing one morning. The location is excellent, convenient for sight seeing, meals and tours. An excellent vegetarian restaurant, Artemis, just round the corner.

Walls a bit thin, no in room kettle although you can make your own drinks in the lobby.

Only quibble was a little lack of privacy in the bathrooms of rooms. A clear gap between door and doorframe of bathroom meant that you were easily visible when using the toilet.

Location is simply brilliant, just a short walk away from popular locations such as Sol and Gran Via. A kilometer away from El Retiro. Room was very comfortable and modern, as were communal spaces.

No te or coffee was provided in the room but, you could have a water boiler without extra charge. There was no hanger for the jackets or bags even if the room was super spacious.

We asked for a full bed for a couple but were given to twins together which made snuggling difficult on a very cold nigth in Madrid.

The staff was wonderful and the location l was perfect. Sandra was really welcoming and supportive.

The hotel was in the best location for tourists, right in the centre of the city. The beds were very small but comfy, the room was warm, we had problems with the keycard system to our room and one day we couldn’t get the door to lock and had to get reception to fix it by calling maintenance. Rectified by the time we came back in the afternoon. We didn’t eat anything in the hotel so can’t recommend any foods or outlets. Looked at the room service menu and it seemed dear for what was on it. Overall I would give it a low eight out of ten.

Safe box does not worked. We asked 3 times to come and look at it, but no one come to check.

I would love to see what this area looks like when not ripped up with construction. Good the noise didn't bother. A minor gripe-the breakfast was a good variety but some of the things they kept a bit long. I am all for leftovers but I could tell the baked goods were a bit stale and dried out. Not sure if things were kept too long or a storage issue but I could tell when they were fresh vs not. Also unless I missed something I didn't see a fan in the bathroom so when I took a shower the whole room steamed up.

The location was great. About a block away from calle gran via and close to public transport. The staff was friendly. I wish I were better with names but I liked the one who checked me in and out. The room was on the smaller side but was more than adequate for what I needed. The room service was good and lightening fast. I was a bit concerned with all the construction and the area seemed a little sketchy but it ended up not being a problem. The temperature control was good. I loved the shower and how nice and hot it was.
