I have got little difficulty get there by car. The reason was town had major road closed for repaire and car navigation was quite confused how to navigate us us there by alternative route.

Very close to hiking trails we visited. Quite place. Nice nearby restaurants.

We faced the park and road and it was quite noisy, but quietened down at night. Our room was quite basic, but had everything we needed.

We enjoyed our stay at this family run business, The breakfast and dinners were good. The owner didn't speak much English and we don't speak much Spanish, but he showed me the bus timetable and one day we took a local bus down into Granada, which was very easy and cheap (<4 euros, you need to pay cash) and took 30 minutes. We got a taxi back from Alhambra for <20 euros. The owner also showed me parking on the map so another day we parked in the Congress Palais (near to where the bus had gone) for 6 euros for the day. It's only a small village but there were a few good local restaurants. It was much cooler than down in Granada.

The rooms were a little dated. There was no fridge in the room.

Particularly loved the location in a beautiful village with some great bars and restaurants nearby, There was parking at the hotel and had no problem finding a space. The hotel was amazing value for money with a nice breakfast included. I particularly like the fact that there was somebody to prepare you fresh tea or coffee. The breakfast had a reasonable choice of options. The room was comfortable and had a good shower. The small pool was a great bonus and lovely and clean with good sunbeds.

Great breakfast options available. Breads, pastries, meats, cheeses, cereals...excellent! Miguel and Inma, the owners, were so friendly and helpful. The hotel is a lovely traditional, rustic building, very well maintained, with a good restaurant. There is a swimming pool as well as children's play area. The hotel is very well located for hikers and explorers who want a break from the hustle and bustle of nearby Granada. Lovely hotel, lovely setting, lovely hosts!

Would have liked a bath rather than just a shower but a very minor consideration. While we were there, there were very noisy roadworks just opposite the hotel. Miguel was happy to change our designated room to a quiter one with no problem.

Fabulous family run hotel. Really friendly and helpful. Only 15 minutes drive from Granada and so much better than being in the city. Great drive up to the Sierra Nevada from here and a super restaurant at 1400 metres up, The Ruta del Purche, with amazing views. Excellent continental breakfast and a good menu at the hotel's barbecue based restaurant on the terrace.

Breakfast hours. As busy as the ski resort gets during the ski season and limited parking, it would be beneficial for the skier if they provide breakast at 0730.

The Hotel is in the small town of Monachil, 20 minutes from downtown Granada and Alhambra. Also 30 minutes from the Ski resort Sierra Nevada. Very friendly staff, who will assist you. Great breakfast (0800-1000). The breafast lounge is also a restaurant at night (2000-2300 - check with owner if they are open). The food in the restaurant is outstanding, and fair priced. Parking on site with no additional cost. They clean the room daily and provide new towels even if not needed.

We heard an animal in the roof moving every night. It was a bit scary, but understandable as Monachil is under the mountains. Owners should just check as some of the more scared guests can complain.

Nature around, position, breakfast - everything really good.

The rooms are quite small and modest. The water pressure was very low.

The hotel is on the main street of Monachil village, which is a very nice and clean village right next to different trekking trails in Sierra Nevada, so if you're looking to go hiking, I recommend staying there. The hotel has parking right in front of the hotel, a small pool and a restaurant with breakfast and dinner. Staff is helpful and polite and will help you out with everything.

Miguel and the team made us very welcome. Our room on the second floor was spacious and clean. Breakfast included a range of pastries, bread, sliced meats and cheese, eggs, nuts and more. The restaurant was opened especially for guests while we were there, and the meals were delicious and excellent value. The hotel is located very close to the beginning of walking tracks, including the Los Cahorros trail/circuit. We made use of the pool and terrace after our hike. Monachil offers easy access by car to the Alhambra in Granada, and we noted a bus operated to and from Granada also. A wonderful stay.
