Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing to dislike, but I would advise against trying to drive anywhere near the hotel. Find a car park outside the old town and walk or get a (really cheap) taxi in if needs be as driving into the old city means entering a world of pain!
This nice little hotel couldn’t be better-located. Right in the old town on a pretty little square with cafe tables set out, it’s nonetheless a really tranquil spot, with the only sounds I heard the birdsong. Delightful. My standard rom was ok. Nothing very special, but squeaky-clean and comfortable enough, though hardly luxurious. My colleague really liked her upgraded room.

United KingdomRoom was a little small. It would have been great to have had a (small) fridge in the room.
Location was great, very friendly and helpful reception staff. Terrace was fabulous. Local bars and cafes were super and prices very good for a city centre location.

BelgiumBecause of the vivid terrace scene outside there will always be sounds of people talking and sometimes live music in the evening, but I didn't mind at all since it is part of the Sevilla experience.
A wonderful little hotel in a perfect location in the middle of the blooming Sevilla center. Very nice staff and a clean room and bathroom. I loved the fact that just outside on the square there a several terraces for your morning coffee or Spanish tapas and diner.

PortugalThe only issue I had was with the noise in my room. Everytime someone in the hotel flushed their toilet, I could here it and the pipes would rattle so hard, it would wake me up.
The hotel is really beautiful. My room was located right by the courtyard which was really relaxing and peaceful to sit in. The room was small but fine, the beds were comfy and the towels were super soft and luxurious - which is not something I usually experience at hotels. The location was great. There´s also a plaza right outside the hotel with orange trees, a cafe and sometimes someone playing guitar. It was really a great atmosphere.

United KingdomNot much. I would like to go to Seville again as there is much more to see and I will certainly go back to this hotel. One tiny quibble. The shower, in the bath, being dual bath tap and shower valve was very sensitive to small adjustments in position and wide variations in temperature.
I love to walk around old cities so the position was great. The building has great character and my room was quiet. Everyone I met was lovely. English was very well spoken and understood. There was local information available. Although there was no breakfast available in-house, the cafe across the square, typically a place where workers get theirs, provided fresh and tasty local foods and great coffee in a simple, honest and inexpensive fashion that I found very charming.

CanadaHowever the noise from the square at the front of the hotel was noisy on weekends (small groups but being very noisy late at night). Could hear the visitors in the room beside us when they were showering - felt like they were using our shower). The heating system was either too hot or too cold - it came in blasts.
Location to sites, trains, buses, old town, etc was excellent. Room was a bit small but clean and very adequate. We did not take the breakfast option as there were many cafes places close by. Staff were excellent!!

CanadaIf you room faces the street it can get noisy due to the restaurants in the courtyard. You will need earplugs if your facing the street side. Walls are not sound proof but keep in mind the age of the building.
The location was close to everything you want to do or see on foot. Beds were very comfortable. Good water pressure in the shower. Nice to have a tea kettle for coffee in the morning.

United KingdomVery minor but the toilet didn't flush properly so the water trickled, but really everything was perfect.
Great location, hotel was big and clean, staff were very helpful and kind. Late check out (11 am) which is handy. We somehow got upgraded to a bigger room which also had a balcony with a lovely view - only downside is it was a twin room as opposed.to double bed but the room was nice and beds were comfortable. The bathroom looks like it has been recently refurbished, great shower.
