Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandGreat stay! We went for 4 nights and booked the basic garden view room. We had a corner room which was great as added some privacy. Loved the facilities, and the adults only pool was a bonus. The children's pool area looked amazing, and had lots of things on for children. The grounds of the Intercontinental are beautiful.

New ZealandSince my last stay, I missed the Pure Fiji mini’s in the bathroom - that had always been a top touch. Also they used to clean and top up your beach foot bowl each day and add a fresh flower - which didn’t happen any more. It was an extra nice touch!
Sensational location and facilities . World class beautiful staff. The grounds and spa are out of this world.

New ZealandThe Intercontinental Fiji is everything you would expect from a resort. We received a delightful welcome, all our check-in needs were taken care of promptly including a well received welcome drink! Our room was beautiful, clean and quiet, and in a great location near the pool. As expected at a resort such as this nothing comes cheap, with all drinks and food being at the higher end of the cost scale but this is part and parcel of staying at a place such as this. The resort is cashless, with everything being charged back to the room. We utilised both the family pool and adult pool during our stay. Surprisingly the family pool was the quiet one! As it was outside of NZ and Australian school holidays there were not a lot of kids there which may have helped with this. I found the adult pool was quite loud especially mid-afternoon when it had high occupancy. The breakfast buffet is well worth adding to your booking, the food selection was extensive and very nice. As we were travelling with a child we chose the Toba Bar & Grill for our dinners, I would recommend the pizzas they were delicious. After coming from a much more cultural-focused resort, the Intercontinental did not embrace Fijian culture quite the same, however it was a brilliant place for us to end our holiday in a relaxing way.

Romania🌴🥥 What a wonderful stay we had at the intercon. The girls did not know that we would have two nights here, but when they saw the "I" logo, they immediately began to jump with joy after their previous stay at Thalasso in Bora Bora. This was also a wonderful experience. We had a lot of fun on Natadola, riding the horses, swimming to the sandbank or enjoying the perfect sunsets. We enjoyed the beautiful breakfast at Sanasana and the hospitality of the staff. We enjoyed the hot tube on the terrace with tropical fruits and coffee there. We had a very good time so this place is Highly recommended!

AustraliaCouldn't fault the place, wish we spent more days here.
Staff were amazing and helpful, buffet breakfast was the best we have had in fiji out of 5 accommodations. When we were welcomed into the resort from first driving up we got taken care of.. a welcome song, got our luggage out for us, parked our car, welcome drink and necklace. we didn't lift a finger and felt the relaxing stay allready started right at the beginning. We had a room upgrade to a ocean view room which was stunning. The reception was so lovely to us. The grounds of the hotel are amazing and everything you need. The toba grill restaurant had great food options and I think we would of been happy with any of it, staff here were great too. The guy playing music was AMAZING we loved having dinner and listening to him sing and play guitar. The icecream window was a great touch after dinner and we enjoyed sundaes on the walk back to the room.

IsraelThe communication around the water activities could have been better. It was only possible to go kayaking and scuba diving at certain times which was not very clear before. Also, one night we went to the nicer adults only restaurant Navo and while the staff was great, the food was disappointing.
It was a perfect place for a relaxing getaway. The place is absolutely stunning. There are two pools, one for families and one for adults only which was nice. We went snorkeling, kayaking, my partner went scuba diving, and there are some more activities being offered. The spa is wonderful with great staff and facilities.
