How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Garage door needs to be fixed. It needs a brand new modern door.

Parking garage is for a small car. For bigger cars I recommend parking in Parking Palais Jaures, 6 euros per day

The stairs, but we knew this before arriving. Pillows did not suit my personal preference- too soft
Spacious apartment, very clean, new appliances. Walking distance to train station. Comfortable beds and information on local area provided. Good communication from host.

Pillows needs an upgrade. We had to lug two heavy suitcases up 4 flights of stairs. Although there is private parking it was narrow and hard to get into with a largish car. There is paid street parking during day. Free at night. Otherwise very comfortable
Central location. Spacious very well equipped apartment with a very large supply of cutlery and crockery. Tea and coffee supplied for more than one night. Can highly recommend.

No bedsheets on my bed (just a mattress cover). Asked ahead for fans because of the heat, and ended up with a dirty fan that barely new any air. We had to clean it to get any air out of it.
Beautiful apartment, good location, kind host, enough space for a nice vacation.

Nice apartment with good kitchen facilities. Good for a family of 4 people. Just a few minutes walk from the train station. Comfortable and clean. Netflix was welcome. Small balcony at front was nice although it was raining most of the time.

The location was a bit far out for the sites but the trade off was a reasonable price compared to central Paris.
Very roomy apartment not far from metro. Rooms were hot but fans provided which was nice. Friendly helpful host.

To find fault would be unreasonable!
It was clear the owner had taken much care to create a charming apartment with everything we needed for a perfect stay. Loved the little solarium....an ideal spot for a coffee or apéro!

The private garage is a bit too small for our car but public parking is just right next to the building so no issue.
Amazing apartment, the owner really put a lot of effort and thoughts to make sure the stay is comfortable.

A little cold at night - due to the season.
It was very spacious and clean, well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. Josephine was always available when needed something. It was very close to Tours City Centre so it was the perfect apartment for us to stay in and enjoy.

floors creak, no hair dryer. narrow garage - for small cars and experienced drivers. there is no lighting in the garage, because of this I scratched my car on the water tap at night (it's good that I had insurance)
good location near the city center. equipped with everything you need. private garage right in the house. detailed instructions on the coffee table (unfortunately only in French :))

Thé area is quite noisy with people talking loudly outside late at night am and very early at 6.00 a.m. A good deal of traffic noise.
Thé property was relatively spacious and close to city centre.

we arrived as France experienced a heat wave. it’s the very top floor (heat rises) with no air conditioning and one oscillating fan. the heat was excruciating during the day, and that made other small details feel bigger. For someone who is accustomed to AC, the heat was punishing.
Lots of space, bigger than the pictures indicate. Good kitchen for a traveling family with teenagers. lovely view off the back balcony. comfy beds!
