The room was a bit cramped but we had chosen a 'cosy' room and we managed. The availability of lounge on ground floor was a big asset.

The decor of the hotel was exceptional with different themes. The bed was comfortable, the shower good and facilities for tea and coffee making useful. It was good to have a comfortable lounge downstairs where we could sit and read in the evening. The breakfast and staff were excellent and there were several good restaurants within short walking distance. The city has a lot to offer both ancient and modern. The buses and trams offer a regular service which is free at the weekend.

The space in the room is very small so the decoration could help to make it bigger not the opposite. Big and useless side table, and a huge amount of unnecessary pillows. We believe the hotel is not a 4 star standar.

The breakfast was quite poor - when we arrived, there was nobody to do the eggs or pancakes, and the selection was not great. The person in charge of the eggs, pancakes etc arrived quite late. The basic rooms are very small.

The room we got was on the first floor and faced the main street, which is pedestrian and gets busy at night due to the restaurants and bars located nearby. While the room is insulated, you can still hear the outside noise, which might be a bother if you are a light sleeper. The air conditioning cools well the room, but it is a bit noisy; it is connected to the TV, so when you turn on the AC it switches the TV on to show the welcome screen. The shower and toilet are located right next to the bed and have a sliding door that lets light through, which almost certainly guarantees waking up your bed partner if you use the toilet in the middle of the night. While the breakfast is fulfilling, I felt that it was overpriced. There was a limited choice of cheese and ham, yoghurt toppings, fruit, bread, and juice. The tables are noticeably small, which makes it difficult to balance your cutlery, glasses, and plates when eating.

The hotel is well located and a short (10-15 min) walk from most attractions in the city. The decoration is nice overall and the staff is friendly and helpful. Check in and check out is very smooth.

I asked the property to pre-book us the taxi for 5:45am as we needed to catch our flight. I repeated 5 times to the staff that the MOST IMPORTANT thing for us is that taxi is in time as we can’t miss that flight. The taxi didn’t come at all. We almost missed our flight because of this and it was very unpleasant! The night shift staff helped only because I had the number of another taxi driver, but the guy was totally confused!

The room isn’t really soundproof I think and it could get a bit annoying in the morning when you hear the door slamming next door.

Some of the furniture is a bit big for the space so not that much room. TV and coffee machine weren't plugged in before arrival.

The room had a bad smell of smoke but was only staying one night so didn’t feel the need to say anything.
