Nothing. There was just a slight misunderstanding in the morning when I asked about the time of le petit dejeuner, with my limited French. I understood the time given, 7 am, but when I asked where la salle a manger was maybe I miss heard, I simply heard 7 am when asked again, I think I simply didn't catch the word etage, it was on the 7th floor.

The room was perfect, on the 1st floor, quiet and comfortable. The hotel was perfectly located, couldn't of been better.

Room 51 and bathroom rather cramped

Good location close to rail stations and the historic centre. Room was comfortable and had a kettle. Small heater was efficient at warming the room quickly. Reception staff very friendly, and allowed us to leave luggage when we arrived early

Small-ish room.If you are a light sleeper ask for a room away from the front as it can be a little loud with all of the comings and goings.

Super clean, great location, good breakfast and a friendly, helpful staff . Not far from major sites. Lovely view of the beautiful train station.

The room was pretty small but nothing I wasn’t expecting and we were only there for one night.

Great location for trains and lots of bars a restaurants. It was also very good value

A lovely young lady checked us in. We were passing through, loved the position as it was over from the Railway Station. Our really clean room was tiny but perfect for us. Wifi was good, we were offered breakfast on the top level, not included in price but caught an early train so declined.

For our second stay we were given a room on the second floor, much, much smaller with a tiny bathroom and no balcony. No milk on the tea/coffee tray

We spent 2 separate nights at The Chagnot. On the first stay we styed on the 6th floor and the room was spacious with a lovely balcony overlooking Lille. there was also a large bathroom.

Maybe just remember to include milk with the tea and coffee in the room.

We had a quiet room at the back of the hotel, which was a good size. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, one of the best places to eat and drink is the place next to the hotel.

Nothing to dislike.

Excellent location opposite Lille Flandres station and a short walk from Lille Europe. A delightful and helpful receptionist on arrival and a nice clean room for our stay.

It is right opposite the main station and a very noisy and busy plaza. Street cleaning and deliveries during the early hours made for a very noisy stay, despite room having double glazing.

Excellent location, hotel clean, breakfast good value benefits with an outside terrace, if the weather is kind! Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel looks a little tired and possibly do with a refresh, however this would not stop me staying here again. I would request a room without street view due to noise levels.

The city never sleeps the say! Well although Lille isn't NYC, it does try to maintain exacting standards of cleanliness, and to achieve these obvious standards, the cleaning gangs are out until late and up very early each day. The streets are of Lille are clean from street rubbish that accumulates daily. It was sad to see so many homeless situations. People who have slipped through the net of basic needs are sadly all too common in all our cities, Lille is no different.

Perfect for my wife and myself to use as a base to explore the wonderful city of Lille, and Paris. The room was just ideal for the sole purpose of sleeping! Breakfast was a delightful experience on the sunny balcony, we were spoiled by the sunshine according to the locals! The local transport was on time and clean. Locals were very welcoming.

Great location from the main station (15 minute walk) and just over the road from Flandres station - useful when travelling by Eurostar. Very clean, friendly reception staff, good choice of breakfast.

Location directly opposite Flanders Gare. Also International train station (car rentals here) which is also in walking distance with luggage so suited our needs perfectly. Easy walk to central town & restaurants. Typical noise level given location.
