How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Mattresses were just a bit harder we are used to.
It was small and cozy hotel on quiet street. All the noise and life was just around a corner. Breakfast was excellent

Interiors were a bit outdated and past their best but the hotel is having a refurb in the winter.
The location was outstanding, very close to really good cafes, bars, and restaurants, but off the main drag, so it was really quiet and peaceful. We loved the area which felt authentic and not too touristy. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.

A bit dated especially the bathrooms. The staff, neighborhood and other touches made up for this though.
Fantastic location, brilliant group of employees, all friendly and helpful, hotel provided great extra touches by providing complimentary coffee/tea and delicious cakes daily. Also free mini bar in room. Another vote for the location. Close to metro, cafes, and very Parisian neighborhood.

Very small room but I think all old Parisian hotels are the same.
Accessible. Very near the Metro and several tourist sites. Good restos within walking distance. Staff were nice, friendly and accomodating Breakfast was good but could use a bit of variety

Very good location, quite street, but close to restaurants, bars and public transport. Room is a little small, but works out well for a few days. Very kind staff and a nice breakfast. Great service with free bottle of water every day. Great value for money.

I booked a classic room which was by the lift. However, the staff was very accommodating when I asked them if I could be further away from it. They kindly upgraded me to a better room which was more spacious. Thanks team!
The location of the hotel is great and the room had a mini bar with snacks and soft drinks free of charge.

Nice hotel with perfect location. Easy to come from the airport, only 10 minutes walking from Port Royal station. There are a lot of restaurants around. Nice area. Comfortable room and comfy bed. Complimentary water and mini bar in the room. Coffee machine in the lobby. They served cake as well, which was very nice. Helpful and friendly stuff in the reception. Perfect cleaning. We will definitely return back to this hotel when we visit Paris again.

The city tax increased from €2.88 to €8.13 per person a night which came as a shock as Booking.com hadn’t advised us of this increase.
Location very good, easy to catch buses or use the metro. Good choice at breakfast. WiFi very good. A wide selection of restaurants nearby. Staff helpful and friendly. Room beautifully made up each day.

Needs a little modernisation but not drastic.
Lovely little townhouse style hotel , great location and very quiet, close to metro and plenty of restaurants. Room fairly small but that's normal for Paris!

Location was quite a walk away from all the attractions (30 minute walk from notre dame)
Room was very comfy and clean, free coffee and hot chocolate machine downstairs, mini bar in the room was free and topped up daily, staff were great

Can be noisy could hear people wlaking down the stairs and in other rooms etc however this wasnt too bad.
To begin with the staff at reception are very friendly and helpful with good recomendations for restaurants and any assistance required. The hotel is in a good location with a metro round the corner and plenty of restaurants to eat nearby. Can walk to louvre etc and attractions easily. Room is big enough and very clean and comfortable. Free minibar which is much appreciated. Nice bathroom and the hotel itself is clean. Would stay again! Room had everything we needed and more.
