There could have been more staff in the evening, one young man was covering the bar as well as the dining room.

Room was far too small - we had a "charm" room but could barely get round the bed , and the bathroom was tiny too. Bar and restaurant were quite expensive .

Beautiful grounds and building , with good sized swimming pool ( and tennis courts but we didn't use those ). Restaurant was in an annexe right next to main building. Very good evening meal although not too much choice, excellent service . Very quiet and lovely view from room in main building

Breakfast was very good as was dinner the previous evening. Our dog was made to feel most welcome and there were lovely grounds to walk him in. Excellent location for the ferry and tunnel.

Rooms and common areas need decorating. Restaurant / bar would expect some sort of service between strict opening times. Would stay there again because convenient for eurotunnel and grounds fantastic for walking the dog after long journey. But the restaurant food was very limited and not very good . We arrived about 2.30 pm .. literally nothing available to eat till 7.30pm . Bar opened at 6.30 so we took our own snacks. After breakfast we wanted coffees etc about 11 with friends but nothing available! So hotel not offering a hotel service !

The room was spacious very comfortable. Although we had to pay an upgrade to get twin beds. The property is set in a quiet location. However the hotel room was looking tired and in need of decoration. The restaurant on Sunday night offered a limited menu. There was no facility to get any food at all until restaurant opened …the bar was only open at certain times so not even able to get a coffee !

The bar was not attended much on the two evenings I stayed had to keep going to reception to get someone to serve me and other guests. How hard it was to find you on the Internet for such a Diamond in the middle of nowhere, should be really well spoken about. I’m so glad we found you. I just worry that such a wonderful place doesn’t have that much recognition for people to know you exist.

Same as last time and trivial I know but that they only give one sachet of tea or coffee per person. No doubt I could have asked for more but at 7am when you fancy a coffee and both sachets were used the previous evening ........

Stayed here before a few times years ago and last December so knew what to expect and it did not disappoint. This room was slightly larger than the previous one but, surprising as it was Easter week and school holidays, cheaper. For our December visits we stayed in the middle of St Omer - smaller room, noisier, no parking, more expensive and no ambiance, and the second visit was the Chateau. For the sake of a ten / fifteen minute drive the Chateau wins over St Omer.

We're not ones to complain but we had some noise from a party or another room until about 11pm, disturbing our early night. Would have liked more than 2 tea bags in the room and decaffeinated instant coffee.

Location very good for St Omer, the coast and exploring the area. Rural location. Beautiful chateau. Rooms in the chateau had a charm of past times. Evening meal excellent.

Having to go to reception for them to call staff to the bar to serve drinks. Then wait 10 minutes.

Restaurant was good despite the limited menu that was on offer in February. There's no lift so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs. Plenty of free car park space. The room was a bit on the small side, but comfortable.

They are quite short staffed like many establishments. It is advisable to book for dinner in the restaurant as timings are an issue. Although only a quarter full they only had enough staff to cover a certain number of covers. Once served they were very good as was the meal. We had a drink at the bar before dinner but we were immediately asked to sign for them and the staff disappeared to do restaurant duties, meaning no second drink and hanging around until our reservation time. This is an observation not a complaint the limited staff they had were very efficient and friendly

Great location for pre return to UK stopover. Nice grounds with free parking on site. Large Chateau with comfortable rooms all with mod cons. Nice bathroom with large bathtub and shower. Good Wi-Fi. Water provided free of charge in the rooms. Comfortable bed. Very helpful and friendly reception staff. Very good meal in the restaurant.
