Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TaiwanIt’s really tiny but cozy. The bathroom is tiny and it’s really hard to turn yourself around in the shower room. Hairdryer is really old. Sanitary supplies are not provided, like toothbrush or so.
it’s really close to the metro station of the center of the city, and there are tons of cocktail bars and Café around the place.

CanadaNicer/bigger bathroom.
Great location and cute boutique vibe. Only thing was the shower drain was clogged so it overflowed into the bathroom and soaked everything. After I notified the staff, they took care of it right away though!

United StatesThe shower was clean, in fact, immaculate butpoor design. I was always afraid I'd spill water on the floor of the bathroom while I was showering.
I couldn't believe how helpful and friendly the staff were. They always followed thorough on requests and gave great advice on shopping and sights. They helped on covid testing questions and far exceeded any expectations. I'd highly recommend this place.

CanadaThere were no electrical outlets in the bathroom to plug in curling iron. Hopefully when they renovate in the future, they can add this. The bathroom is tiny. Also since the soaps are so tiny we decided to buy our own bath soap on the 2nd day Since then soaps were not replenished which we needed for the sink. On our fourth night I notice the trash underneath the sink was not emptied and missing one hand towel. I think the cleaning staff could use more training. Safe was not working and was not fixed during our 5 night stay.
The front desk people were exceptional - always willing to help, provide direction and recommendations especially Jasmine who facilitated a call for us since all the prompts were in French. The location is excellent. The Chatlet metro is literally steps away. The place is close to many shops and restaurants. I would recommend this hotel!

United KingdomOur room was very dark not much natural light coming in as the windows opened to the fire escape staircase. the toilet had a strange smell which could be due to the train lines underneath. the paint was chipping off from the bathroom ceiling. The room was unbelievably warm and uncomfortable to sleep at night, I informed reception and they asked to open the windows which didn’t help. Tea and coffee not replaced on day2.
The location is amazing. It’s right next to the metro station. Walking distance from a lot of attractions and museums. The area is very vibrant. The staff are very polite and extremely helpful. The room was clean.

United KingdomOn my first day, they activated a card for the wrong room, I walked in on a man which was very scary. On numerous occasions my card would stop working, so I had to go down to reception to activate it. On the day of check out, I requested a late check out, however the cleaner woke me up at 9am and literally ruined my morning.
Reception staff were nice and accomodating. Liata was very helpful and spoke good english. The breakfast was on time and location was perfect if you wish to be located slap bang in the city.

FranceThe room size is small but acceptable, the elevator is too small to accommodate more than one person, and there is no wardrobe in the standard room I booked.
The location is great, there are many different restaurants and cafes, the hotel is close to the metro station, so you can go to the tourist areas easily.

IrelandUpon check in nothing was mentioned about breakfast I.e. times or where to go. The room that we stayed in, the bathroom sink pipe was slowly leaking and although we followed the instructions for the towels to be changed, they weren’t and were left on the floor.
The staff were very friendly and pleasant and happy to help in any way they could.

United KingdomThe hotel is a regular Paris Hotel. Classic small manned reception but not a place to sit & relax in. Number of floors with your usual medium to small sized hotel rooms. Nothing particularly extravagant or different about the rooms or hotel layout & decor. Breakfast is downstairs with the usual provisions which if the room does not include breakfast is over priced. The saving grace is the location as you are in the centre @ Chatelet Les Halles with the new massive shopping centre and multitude of busy restaurants & bars moments away. So any meals, including breakfast can be found outside the hotel with no difficulty. Summary, standard Parisien Hotel, but in a great location !
