How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Very good, very e made a stop on the way back home from Spain but I think it’s a very nice place to stay and discover the region. The manager was very welcoming and helpful, I cannot thank him enough.

No offer of any toiletries
Room was basic, but clean and easy access from the motorway for a one night stay. We did not have breakfast, but had a drink in the evening out on the deck in the back overlooking the field, where a group of children were playing football, and the mountains.

There was no restaurant within walking distance.
Good parking facilities, near the highway, nice and quiet, dogfriendly with enormous garden.

Really had no issues here. Bright foyer, wide corridors and neat and tidy bedrooms. Very reasonable and a great location. Would I stay for more than one night? Maybe not if I was exploring the area in depth, but good for passing through.
Breakfast was reasonable but maybe a bit pricey at €9. Staff were helpful and friendly. Had an issue with the door access card not working owing to a faulty access unit. Staff readily dealt with the issue and on return from getting some food the issue was fixed. Plenty of parking. The hotel is just outside of town and it's a nice walk back into town for the shops and restaurants.

The room itself had a rather dated décor unlike he public areas, It was rather hot and stuffy when we arrived but there was no way to turn on or control the wall unit that I presume blew both hot or cold air. It was presumably controlled by a master unit somewhere accessible only by the management and they decided if one was going to bake or freeze. Our dogs were hot so we had to leave the window open all night in order to try and cool the room down. Being close to a river there was an attendant risk of mosquito bites. The shower unit although clean, had black mould on the seals which does not look very hygienic. The hotel is clearly not geared up for non French because they do not provide tea or coffee making in the room ,instead they have a machine in the foyer. Unfortunately it was coin operated only and only having just arrived in France we only had notes. The reception did not offer to break a note in order that we could obtain change for a drink. Not ideal after a long days drive. Although the booking details said it had a restaurant ( one reason why I selected it), there wasn't one and we had to drive into the town centre in order to try and find somewhere to eat. As they don't provide food I would expect them at least to have details available in the form of a pamphlet describing what was available in the town and directions as to how to get there. THAT IS GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. With a little more attention to details it could have been great
The location was great for someone with pets with extensive grounds adjacent to a river and access to a quiet country road for longer walks. The Public areas looked recently refurbished and there was a very pleasant dining room. The room was good and spacious which is important when one has dogs to consider

The card to get in main door did not work so I was locked out all night and had to sleep in car when receptionist came back in at 7am I told her n she just shrugged her shoulders So paid for a room I could not access

Very disappointed. Booked the apartment 4 days before our stay. Room for 3 people. When arrived the men told us they have a problem and don’t have extra bed. He suggest us 3 to sleep in one bed. Ofcouse all other hotels was booked to at that time.

A little basic and dated. Heating was a little poor so quite cold at first then too hot. Only one pillow (though bed was comfy). Breakfast was ok but not worth €8. You do need a basic understanding of French as the (very friendly) man behind reception spoke no English.
Location was excellent as a stopover on our way to the Eurotunnel from Spain. Private ensuite was nice to have. Expanse of garden to walk the dog (though overgrown)
