The property should be clearer about where rooms are located and what access limitations, if any, they have. The main building has an elevator--at least one of the two other buildings does not. A steep, winding staircase is not ideal for anyone with mobility issues. In addition, the hotel should be clearer about where its units are. For example, rooms in the main building or the building facing the gardens are much more desirably located than those in the former stable (a fact I'm not sure is represented in the price). The only other negative is that the turn off the street into the parking area is quite tight.

This small hotel is beautifully maintained, with an excellent on-site restaurant, grounds, and heated pool. Rooms are spread over three buildings--the main three story building, one two story building facing the gardens, and one two story building with three units (a former stable from appearances). Our Superior Family Room was located in the last building and was quite comfortable, large, and well-equipped. It did, however, require walking up a steep, winding staircase with no elevator available. The breakfast was excellent. The location is within 5-10 minutes of several excellent restaurants, the chateau, and Leonardo da Vinci's home.

The welcoming staff, beautifully decorated rooms, gorgeous courtyard and pool area, spacious and updated bathroom with rain shower head option, extra comfortable bed and bedding, fabulous restaurant and service, free on-site parking, and central location. I had a superior room on an upper floor overlooking the courtyard. This is a hotel designed with couples in mind, but I loved it as a solo traveler. It was wonderful!

Can't confirm as I didn't see it, but pretty sure I heard a mouse running around in the walls. Breakfast was a bit expensive so we opted to eat at a boulangerie in town.

We were upgraded to a suite, which had 2 separate bedrooms. The larger room had a whole sitting area, and the bathroom was large and separate. Lovely, spacious, peaceful accommodations.

Lovely property with beautiful surroundings and a lovely on-site restaurant and bar. Enjoyed having a drink in the hotel gardens. Room was a smaller one but with a good sized bathroom.

The hotel was quite nice, the location good, and the staff was wonderful. The grounds were lovely. Unfortunately we got the room on the bottom floor next to the lobby and front door, so it was noisy. We could hear people up early walking down the stairs and talking right outside our door, so we didn't get much sleep. All the other rooms were upstairs, so I'm sure it would have been much quieter there.

The property is beautiful!!! The breakfast was really really good. My room originally was already pretty good with a nice view to the garden but there was kind of a smell when I got into the room. The staff was with me and promptly switched me to a different room. They also offered me a glass of wine while they re-arrange the new room. This was a huge customer service! Really impressed

Because it’s this castle like old property it is a bit tired and bathrooms for example are dated, but it’s part of the charm and priced appropriately

Our room was a bit warm with no way to adjust that due to restrictions about AC use. Windows have no screens so when we opened bugs came in.

Rooms are quaint and attractive. Property is lovely and a walk to the main area of Amboise. Restaurant is nice and had a lovey breakfast in the morning

Beautiful hotel, very nice and friendly staff, super comfortable bed. Central, but quiet location. My husband had a breakfast and was very pleased with it. Hotel is pet friendly and e-charges are a bonus. Everything was perfect.
