Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe Michelin starred restaurant was disappointing. We ordered the Provencal set menu and found that a lot of the flavors were strange.
Wonderfully relaxing hotel in a perfect situation to explore the Luberon area of Provence. The staff were all fantastic and helped the relaxed atmosphere. The breakfast was exceptional and the food in the bistro excellent. We would definitely stay again.

United KingdomThe gym based within the spa area was 'trendy' rather than especially functional for those wanting a proper work out. A performance bike and maybe some proper solid free weights and better mats on the floor would improve the set up as would better functioning air con !!!! The spa area itself was amazing and very well appointed for relaxing
The room and terrace were lovely to sit on in the evening and admire the view. The pool area was very relaxing and spacious. The restaurant was fantastic, we felt very well catered for - especially being a fussy vegetarian :)

United KingdomMy only fault was that as I was alone in the restaurants I seemed to be forgotten a bit. I had to ask for a napkin and cutlery after each course but everything else was great.
Everything was great!

unfortunately we were not able to have dinner at the restaurant. It looked more than great. In the morning we had to leave at 4:30 a.m. They made a great breakfast for us. Thank you! We enjoyed staying in your hotel.

SwitzerlandThere was none to welcome us when we arrived with our car at the hotel. We had to go to the Reception ourselves and announce our arrival. We stayed in Suite 41 with a private pool. The room was not recently renovated. The furniture were damaged and the walls were falling in the terrace. This was certainly not a 5-star level of accommodation! There was no privacy in our little terrasse and private pool due to very close proximity of the rooms next and the one just above. The playground for kids was not welcoming and well maintained.
Charming location. Julie at the Reception was exceptional at her service. The food and the service at the Bistro were also excellent. Room very clean with small attentions in the evening.

IrelandOur private pool had lots of chlorine so it wasnt nice to use, so an expensive addition that we didn’t really use! Room service did not have much on the menu, because we wanted to take advantage of our room and price was very steep for 2 small plates!
Nice welcome from the staff and good common areas

NetherlandsLong story short: keep searching and don't book this location. At first glance, the location makes you think that you are in Provence. The first disappointment soon follows: the mismatch between taste and execution. White leather chairs (hello Germany) in the lobby among the decorative junk that comes straight from China. Even at a flea market they don't dare to sell this. On to the room, maybe it's better there? Unfortunately. It is clean, but not worthy of a five star hotel and five star price. Tasteless combination of tasteless cheap stuff that you can expect in a three star hotel but not in a five star hotel. There is nothing elegant to discover in this hotel except the view outside the hotel. Very unfortunate that photos are misleading. On to room service. French fries (€14) and the Caesar Salad (€21) were decent but not great. We didn't order the tea (€8,-). After dinner we put our plate in front of the door, after contacting the front desk twice, it was finally picked up seven hours later. The smell of uneaten chips lingered in the hallway a little longer. Things got better at dinner in the bistro. The three-course menu was good, neatly arranged and the service was fast and correct. The latter went wrong with the service at the pool. It was just as fast as the WiFi: very slow. After begging if we could order something, there was finally a glass of rosé wine (€12,-) and a bottle of beer (€10,-). The view from the pool of the surrounding area was beautiful. Two hours after the order, the empty glasses had not yet been collected nor we were asked if we could have another drink. We went to a bar outside the hotel. We skipped a visit to the spa (2x €30,-) to avoid the next disappointment. Everything in this hotel is aimed at being able to invoice the maximum with the minimum of the minimum. After two nights we were happy that the high gate of the entrance automatically closed the Chinese wall of Provencal stones behind us.
The view of the surroundings
