Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandThere is only 1 dinner restaurant nearby, but this is very good, great service and value for money.. Choice for breakfast in hotel is not too extensive but ok. The train line very near to the hotel is highly frequented and could disturb some people - but not us.
Friendly staff, clean, modern room with balcony and sea view, just a few meters to the public beach, restaurant nearby.with perfect service and live music on some days of the week. The hotel has a swimming pool but we preferred the beach. Free parking at the hotel.

The location and view were excellent. The room and facilities were good- a bit small for a family of four but expected in Europe. We still enjoyed our stay. The facilities in the room were good and the breakfast was great. It was a great thing to have parking so easily accessible .

AustraliaBreathtaking view, Quiet and Nice amenities. The room we stayed in was on the ground floor and had no immediate view but directly faced the terrace. We hung around at the terrace which had a full view of the cove and the old viaduct. There are plenty of lounges and recliners on a massive terrace at the front. I loved how it had a small hotel appearance on the exterior but the rooms and facilities were brand new 4-star quality. It had basic kitchen appliances such as a bar fridge, a stove and a microwave. The bathroom was immaculate. Breakfast service is a must since there aren't that many food options available. The range of food at breakfast was very wide and I enjoyed them. It is a pretty remote location, but I am glad I chose this place over other villages along the coastline. You can easily pull over at the hotel carpark which is a big plus for drivers and it is tranquil, and peaceful during the first week of June. You can simply cross the road to get access to the beach. I will definitely return next time I am around the French Riviera.

PortugalBreakfast was below average
There is quite a lot of traffic in the area ( cars, train, helicopters, people) but the room was totally quiet. The hotel was fully booked but the only time we saw or heard other clients was over breakfast. The beach in front of the hotel is nothing to write home about, but our stay was a good base for exploring the area.

UkraineIt is a nice hotel perfectly located just next to the sandy beach of Antheor. It features a bar/restaurant with beautiful terrace. We stayed in the studio with balcony. The room was very clean and the kitchenette was fully equipped. However, the kitchen space was really small so it might be difficult to cook anything rather sophisticated :) The hotel is easily accessible by train both from Cannes and Saint Raphaël. It is a great advantage for those without a car as it is often very difficult to access less crowded spots. Well, one may say that the hotel is a little bit overpriced but actually it is fine as everything at côte d'Azur is overpriced :)

IsraelThis is not a 4 star hotel. At most 2 stars. The main room and the bathroom are in the same space, only a partition without a ceiling separates them, so that one uses the toilete, the other has to leave the room. A large door in a room lets in strong light in the early morning and it cannot be darkened. With the coffee machine in the room we only got 2 capsules for our stay. The TV screen cannot be seen because it is on the side of the bed and not on the front. And most importantly, this hotel is suitable for the deaf people. 10 meters from the hotel, on the right side, there is a main railway track. 6AM first train till 11PM last train , every 15 minures. And on the left side of the hotei, 10 meters from the room, passes the main road D559. In short, you live in the middle of a noisy city. I would not return to this hotel either for half the price I paid.
