Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe wifi wasn't working, we have asked staff about about it a couple of times but they couldn't care less. They also haven't explained us properly how discount ticket to the parking should work, had to return and ask them as we couldn't leave the garage. Might be a language barrier thing as we didn't speak French.
The hotel is located in the old city center, in a walkable distance to all main attractions. The amenities were a bit outdated, but everything was clean. We could enjoy the view to the beautiful building of Rouen Court from our room. There's also a possibility to park your car in the underground parking close to the hotel with a discount from the hotel.

FinlandHotel is in the city centre, perfectly situated for seeing all the nice places. The room wasn't too big, but the view to Palais de Justice was very beautiful. The hotel itself is in an old Normandy style building. Parking system with Parking Palais de Justice was a good addition to hotel's service and worked fine.

RussiaOnly thing to keep in mind that it's an old building with steep stairs, no lift and its a challenge if you have heavy luggage. Also, very good acoustics. You can hear the neighbors.
great location with a magestic view on the Justice Palace, very easy to access from the train station, you wake up in the morning from the bells of the Rouen Cathedral (personally, favorite way to wake up), the staff was accomodating, even though our arrival and departure time was out of the working hours, it was very well explained how to access the property. Surrounded by lovely cafes, shopping center, and historic sights, its everything you need. The room is clean even though understandably old, heating works well if you need to feel cosy inside after a winter walk.

United KingdomA little more space in the room. Forget the bath and put in a proper shower.
Fabulous location to explore Rouen from. We had a view of the Palace of Justice. Room was small but just about manageable but good value for it's location. We didn't spend any time in it and we had a reasonable night's sleep but that was due to the road cleaners starting very early! Late check out time which is helpful and a deal on parking close by. We didn't have breakfast there as prefer to explore our options. Common parts are very tired and need a freshen up as did the bathroom. Suited us for the night though.

United KingdomAs made clear on booking, there is no lift, and the steep and narrow staircase - 78 steps to the fourth floor in our case - could make it a real challenge for anyone with heavy luggage. Small room and rather pokey bathroom, with a small bath and just a handheld shower.
Very central location, overlooking the Palais de Justice, but quiet. Straightforward self-entry arrangements. Quite adequate for a one night stay

United StatesThere was no wall outlet within reach of the hot water pitcher on the table with the coffee supplies. I ended up plugging it into an outlet in the headboard and put the unit on a chair beside the bed. Just be aware that the stairs to the rooms would not work for you if you have mobility issues.
Our room looked out over the Palais de Justice which was like something out of a fairytale. The large windows allowed a wonderful cross breeze along with the incredible view. The bed was the most comfortable I have slept in in a very long time and the long bath tub was perfect to soak in after a long day of site-seeing. The location is truly central to everything one would want to see. The lunch we ate at the restaurant below the hotel was the most delicious we have enjoyed during our visit to France. The continental breakfast was definitely a good value and they serve the most flavorful baguettes we have tasted during our stay in France- including one month in Paris. I highly recommend "Les Initie's Hotel".

United KingdomBeware if you have poor mobility then this place is not for you as we were up 4 sets of stairs (78 steps) the rooms below are up 2 sets of stairs also. Not a real problem to us but could be to others. Bathroom could do with a revamp and a tidy up
The location in the heart of the city centre was amazing and was a good base to explore all of the sites, which were only a few hundred meters away in every direction. The staff were friendly and attentive and the discounted city centre car park was only a couple of minutes walk away. The views of the palais de justice from our bedroom window were amazing.
