How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The location is pretty good and the surrounding is safe and quiet. Only 3 min walking from the Vieux Port metro station. There are many restaurants can be chose from. Besides, the utilities are functioning well.

The bathroom is clean but needs a little renovation. A bit noisy at night.
Great location, size of the apartment, interesting staircase, cleanliness of the building. Close to shops, restaurants and the port. Bar like in a hotel, great terrace.

The shower was a problem. The shower head support was not very good So he needed to hold the shower without the water going all over the floor . This was discussed with the staff on leaving . Parking was local but not 15e per 24 hours, more like 34e . We moved to parking further away which was a little cheaper .
The location was good for us . Property was clean all things in the apartment that was needed.

Apartment is located in a very busy part of the city that did not feel safe at night to walk around- but the quality of the place made up for it.
Apartment was beautiful and staff were very helpful and friendly as well as available at all times.

Only flaw (otherwise it would be a solid 10) was the broken washing machine which would not rinse and damaged one of my clothes.
Friendly, responsive and helpful staff, comfy beds, spacious room, well equipped apartment with a lot of amenities. Very clean. Well looked after apartment the smallest detail

Fantastic location just two blocks from the Vieux Port and surrounded by good food options. Marc the host was extremely friendly, welcoming, and responsive. He even helped me back my car up half a block to get into the one parking lot that was open when the olympic flame arrived. Highly recommend!

Very spacious clean appartment ,lot of light and right in the centre. Very easy walk to all areas of the city. A lot of restaurant/shop/coffe near by. We were able to leave our bags at the near office after the check out that was great.

The hotel is in a very good location, in a tourist area. The indoor facilities are complete and clean. The little sister at the service desk is very warm, thoughtful and meticulous, which makes us feel very warm. Thank you! The nearby parking lot recommended by the hotel charges 15 euros for 24 hours, but when we checked out of the parking lot the next morning (less than 24 hours), it was charged 18.2 euros. I don't know why?

I'm not as young as I used to be, so the climb up 2 flights of stairs with luggage was a little difficult.
The staff were wonderful and friendly, they were extremely helpful with our late arrival. The apartment was very clean and spacious with a very nice bathroom. The location was also perfect, so close to the port area.

The bed side is too narrow to move around.

The only downside was 3 nights out of the 4 nights were very very noisy. Noisy neighbours living above slamming doors throughout the night.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The apartment was perfectly clean, modern and had everything you could need. We used the sofa bed too which was perfect. Location was great and very central.
