Very minor, but a dressing area would have been ideal. Just a mirror above the desk would have worked. Doing make up in the bathroom after a steamed up from a shower. Not ideal.

Great location! Close enough to everything, 15 mins from station and 15 mins from the river. Comfy bed. Great shower. So quiet considering off a busy road. Footprint is huge for its location in Paris. Jean was a great host, communication, kindness and very generous with champagne and brioche just two of the gifts during our stay.

Jean-Etienne is a wonderful host and we really enjoyed his breakfasts. Location if perfect for walking to all main attractions, we ended up not using the subway tickets we purchased. Excellent service and great location!

When we arrived at the property, we didn't have information to be able to access the front doors, and no way of contacting Jean Etienne as our mobile phones weren't operational. Thankfully the neighbouring business owner was kind enough to phone Jean Etienne for us, and he was quickly greeting us. A frustrating start after about 30 hours of travel time.

Jean Etienne asked our plans for the day and provided directions and maps to help us on our way. He couldn't do enough to make us feel comfortable. We had to leave before breakfast serving time, and we greatly appreciated that Jean Etienne provided us with a croissant and juice to take with us.

Beautiful room in elegant Parisian apartment. Exceptionally courteous and welcoming host, who provided delightful breakfasts and informed suggestions for restaurants. Ideal location for exploring Paris by foot or metro.

Really unique property , beautiful furnishings and lovely breakfast with the other guests was lovely to have the room cleaned daily. Jean-Etienne was charming and always available if needed. Great central location for exploring the city .

The bathroom drain was smelly

Spacious, comfortable, nicely decorated apartment in a great location. Jean was a wonderful host who went above and beyond to make sure we had a fabulous stay in Paris between Christmas and New Year. Breakfast each day was delicious. Highly recommend.

Amazing experience, Jean Etienne put in a lot of effort to make our stay special. Attention to detail was exceptional. Comfortable bed, with room cleaned daily. Fabulous location for metro, trains and restaurants. Drinking water sparkling & still replenished daily. Wonderful breakfast, both filling & nutritious. Lovely gesture of bottle of sparkling wine to celebrate our time in Paris.

This is the second time we have stayed here with our ten year old son! We love the location and Jean-Etienne is very pleasant and helpful. We highly recommend a stay here, the rooms are private but you have the added benefit of staying in a lovely home with an amazing breakfast.

Jean-Etienne is a very good host. He is very accommodating and ameinable. The B&B is in the centre of restaurants, Theatres and shops. The Galaries Lafayette (Famous Deartment Store) is only a 20 minute walk away. The Metro station of Bonne Nouvelle is literally on the doorstep.

What’s not to like!?

Pretty much everything! Jean Etienne is a fabulous host, could not do enough to make you feel welcome. Very helpful with lots of suggestions of things to do in the area. Happy to help with making reservations for food or taxis. The property is in a great location with plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants, cabaret, cinema, metro station outside the door! Breakfast provided was incredible - fresh croissants, fruit, brioche, cheese (to die for!). Room cleaned every single day. All the amenities you would need (umbrellas too, which were essential for our November stay). Our TV apparently had a problem and JE was very apologetic - we did tell him that we probably would not have even noticed as we were not going to be watching any tv anyway. To make up for this, we came back one afternoon to a bottle of Brut which was a lovely surprise. We also had sweets and macarons waiting for us on other days which was very welcoming after long days of sight seeing.
