If being really critical I would say room was a little dated

Breakfast is catered for the french, could have had more variety e.g fresh fruit, sausage/ bacon/ choice of egg instead of just boiled which you had to do yourself, toaster was available but no bread to make toast, coffee machine needs updating and was very noisy, dining room very small. on suite Bathroom was very clean but shower cubicle was very small, i am 6ft tall and struggled with it.

Hotel was nice and clean, host's were very helpful, bedroom was a good size and clean. Town centre was a 15min walk from hotel which was not a problem, and the centre is full of bars and restaraunts and shops, stunning lake and scenery.

Room wasn’t serviced during three night stay. Charged for three breakfasts even though we only had two. Bar wasn’t open on Sunday evening, no staff around on Sunday evening although it said it should be open. Too far for my husband to walk into Bagnoles centre. Hotel needs some updating.

Our room was lovely but the water to the bath and shower was very slow and the toilet seat slipped when you sat down

A kettle in the room would have made a difference. It was not busy so a room facing the garden rather than the street would have been nicer.

Good sized room and really comfortable bed. Plenty of parking at the hotel, at no extra cost and also parking on the street outside. The wifi worked well and the shower was good. The breakfast was fine and the hotel is good value for money.

Nice Relaxing room with the benefit of a balcony. All you expect in this charming hotel. We ate in the hotels restaurant for the two nights we were there and the food was excellent. Good continental breakfast served in the conservatory, good choice and plenty of it. The staff at the hotel were friendly and very helpful.

It needed a few repairs, for example the bathroom heater was broken. The room's heating was unavailable between 8pm and 8am. I was a bit cold and had to snuggle into bed.

It was good value for the money and was very quiet. The garden was very private.

This Hotel had the biggest room I've ever stayed in! It was comfortable with clean linen and towels, had a seating area at the back next to but separated from the Hotel parking. There were a few bars which served food a few minutes walk from the Hotel. The breakfast was a choice of hot and cold food and was served at the rear facing the gardens, A fine Hotel.

Hosts not keen on guests going to bed late...bar closed c. 10.00. No drink facilities in rooms.

Food good, dinner (extra) but excellent, location v.good - a walk away from centre but away from crowds.

We arrived just afteŕ 8 and were only able to have dinner if we were ready within 15mns having travelled for 8 hours..We noticed other guests were in the same in the position(they came to eat in the café we were eating in) Couldn't access wifi as code only available from reception and closed when we returned to our room, this was really inconvenient.

Nothing really. The bathroom and shower were a bit small but that is often the case with this type of hotel, I've found.

Very clean, comfortable traditional-style small French hotel. Friendly welcome, spacious room, very nice restaurant. Easy parking on site. Well placed for a final stop on a long trip before catching the Caen/Portsmouth ferry the next day.

Lovely old-style traditional French hotel. Easy parking on site. Very friendly welcome. Spacious, comfortable room that seemed to have been recently redecorated. Really excellent evening meal, with small range of good quality, very fairly priced, wines. Nice breakfast too. An excellent start to our holiday; recommended!

First, it took a bit of time to identify the hotel as its sign does not include "Brit". The check-in and check-out process was rather smooth, although English is definitely a barrier. The biggest disappointment was breakfast - there was a huge group of cyclists who had occupied the whole small breakfast room, so it took a loooong time to manage and get the morning coffee and food. While the lady serving the breakfast tried to do her best, it was overwhelmed and spoilt the general experience.

The room was spacious, however, all amenities are a bit dated. Everything was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Surroundings of the hotel were quiet and I managed to get a good night sleep.
