Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe room and setting were wonderful, an authentic French experience. The host Jerome was excellent, kind and welcoming. We liked being outside of the city of Aix, while still being a short drive in. Jerome was helpful with recommendations about where to go and made our stay very warm and welcoming. Breakfast were delicious!

Beautiful property and wonderful welcome. Lovely room and bathroom. Jerome was an excellent host. He gave us a lift into the town and a bottle of wine. The use of the pool and garden kitchen were a huge bonus.

United StatesJérôme, our host, was so welcoming and thoughtful (& breakfast every morning was a delight). The home is just a bit outside of Aix, about a 8-10 minute drive depending on where you want to go. We went at the beginning of October and the weather was perfect to sit by the pool (we are warm water people so we didn’t swim, but others did while we were there) in the afternoons and enjoy a snack or stay out and eat dinner. The room where we stayed was wonderfully outfitted for all we needed - the tub and the shower were great and the bed comfortable. We had a car on our trip (highly recommend). We did not try to walk to Aix as the road up to the house was steep and I did not feel up to walking back. All in all, this felt like a magical place to stay and definitely made our time in Aix perfect!

United StatesAbsolutely nothing!
The stay was outstanding. Historic french home with 5th generation owner lovingly keeping tradition. . The room was rich with culture, comfortable and the property was gorgeous. Jerome went above and beyond to help us settle in late at night due to travel issues and even drove us to our next stay as a taxi was not available. I can not recommend this more highly!

United StatesElegant, Relaxed, Intimate--this is how I would describe Pavillon de Beauregard. The breakfast was fresh and filling. The Romantic room was graced with light each day; I enjoyed the views and, especially, the tub (though my husband would have preferred a shower :). My favorite part of staying here was reading, exploring, practicing yoga, and then relaxing with rosé by the pool. The outdoor kitchen was a nice way to cook at home and savor the sunset. Our host was helpful--even driving us into town a few times--and, by the end of our stay, the guests became our friends. I only wish I could have stayed longer. I'd love to offer a yoga + writing retreat here! I hope to return to AIX and this special place very soon. Merci Beaucoup! Leslie St. John PS - In-room coffee was a treat!

IrelandThe road leading up to it is atrocious! But that's not the fault of the accommodation, just drive carefully!
We liked everything about this place. In the countryside but close to town. Our terrace was amazing, huge! And we thoroughly enjoyed the leisurely breakfast every morning. The photos really don't do the place justice, it's far prettier in real life. The host, Jerome, is so helpful and friendly. The vibe is calm and relaxing and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Pavillon de Beauregard. I had read all the reviews before booking and I'm happy to report that it did not disappoint. In fact, it exceeded my expectations. We stayed a week and honestly, if we could have stayed longer we would have.

United KingdomNothing....the reality of Pavillon de Beauregard was way above expectation. We expected it to be great but it was truly exceptional.
Location, cherished historic family home absolutely charming and characterful. Our host Jerome was the best host I have ever experienced...and I have travelled a lot. He was charming, generous and showed an astonishing ability for detail which was subtle but really noticeable if you could be observant. I stayed four nights but could have spent four months and still would have continued to enjoy this place, in fact staying longer would have made me not want to leave....that is how profoundly comfortable I felt at Pavillion de Beauregard. I would return in an instant. Jerome treated us to a chilled bottle of local Rose on our arrival which was like nectar...and really not expected! Furthermore, he explained a lot about visiting the town of Aix-en-Provence which proved to be invaluable and on two occasions he booked restaurant tables for us.
