How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Last minute one night stay. Hotel was better than I expected. Don’t let the quirky name and fitout put you off. Hotel has a really lovely outdoor annd bar area, staff friendly, our room was clean, and generously sized. Within walking distance of centre of town and a couple of great restaurants just across the road.

We had dinner on the first evening (Burger & Caesar Salad) service was good but neither enjoyed what we had. The bedroom was painted black/dark navy walls which felt oppressive, as are the corridors of the hotel I guess because they want it to look funky? Just not our taste.
It is in a good location & has the advantage of underground secure parking which as we were on motorbikes was worth paying the €15 per night charge.

We had 2 family rooms and 1 standard. the standard was too small to open 2 suitcases on the floor so we asked if therev was a larger room. The said yes and quoted EUR30. I agreed and we ended up with a far larger apartment. Next day they said they'd made a mistake and wanted another EUR100. I said no as if I'd known, I wouldn't have taken it. During the day we received 2 more calls from management wanting the extra money.
Location OK. Good carparking

Twin Room was a bit small For a 4 star hotel.
Great buffet breakfast. A few minutes walk from historic centre of Grenoble.

Everything met our expectations, there's nothing we didn't like!
I stayed with my children for a night on our way to Chamonix - we loved the decor, the food in the restaurant and the helpful, friendly staff. The children enjoyed the play area and gaming station :-)

The staffs are very friendly and nice making my stay here comfortable. Facilities offered and wifi are great too. Breakfast and dinner is good as well, I enjoy every bit of it. Would definitely recommend those who are planning their trip to Grenoble stay in RockyPop.

The automated check-in and check-out process is very sterile and not very pleasant. Rooms facing the interior courtyard are VERY noisy (windows in our room did not close properly, so it was very loud, and cigarette smoke from the balcony of the adjacent room filtered into the room).

The noise from outside was heard in the room on the 5th floor. I think windows should need to be readjusted routinely.
Spwnt just the night before flight, but I wish we had more time to spend in this hotel

Downside, there is a Bar in the ground floor which plays loud music until late hours(1:00 am) and still can be heard. Therefore there is also loud people in street shouting and being noisy until late (2:00 am). We stayed overnight from Friday to Saturday.
The theme and design is great! The staff is really helpful and nice! Although the rooms are small they are comfortable for short stays. Closed and secured parking (necessary to book and ask separately).

The housekeepers are very stingy with their toilet rolls! They never left any spare rolls and on 2 occasions I had to go down to reception to ask for more toilet rolls!
Convenient location. 5-10min walk to city centre yet it was quiet enough for a relaxing sleep
