How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Couple days TV did not work, because of antenna. So TV is not strongest part of this place.
Really nice small hotel, for such price I would say perfect. I would love to come again to this place Great location in old town, beach not far. Always someone on reception

The ventilation system in the room was slightly noisy, which was a minor distraction.
The room was clean, the location really convenient, and the staff were helpful. It felt like great value for the money spent.

Everything close, grocery store, beach, restaurants, just in the heart of the old city. The room was comfortable, and the bathroom was really well equipped, clean. The receptionists were kind and helpful. We were more than satisfied, recommended hotel, priced right.

Everything was OK comphere to the price.
The Hotel location is exellent, in the best part of the town, close to restaurants, sightseeings, port, railway and everything that a visitor may enjoy or need. The room was clean, equipped with all basic furniture and items, the view from our windows was fine. The hotel staff was freindly and helpful (they even gave us 30 minute extra for check-out and we left our bag for almost for rest of the day for free). We loved staying at the hotel, we will choose the same hotel for our next visit too.

There were no screens on the windows. It was raining and when I opened the windows for fresh air the rain got the wall and floor wet. More important, some mosquitoes entered the room and that made sleep a challenge.
This hotel doesn't look like much from the outside but don't let that get in the way.....Easy check-in.....Super location in the heart of Old Town on a quiet cobblestone street.....Desk and chair in my room with wide-window views.....Fridge, kettle and coffee cups.....Very good shower.....Interesting artwork in the hallways.....A simply nice room at a good rate.

The room had everything I need for a very comfortable stay: a good bed, private bathroom with separate shower, table and chairs, aircon, very good wi-fi, fridge, electric kettle, and lots of daylight from big windows with nice city views. Even good electrical lighting of different intensity. The location is right in the city centre and only a few hundred metres from the sea. All this for 54 GEL/night was definitely a fair price. I can wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Varios.

- be aware that the cheapest room has no window, only internal stairs facing, but this is what I was looking for as it is very quiet this way - small recommendation for staff; guests hear everth from the reception at late hours in the upper stairs
+ location + helpful staff + great quality / price option in town for solo traveller

Brothels located around our street. Too mamy of them. They were bothering my boyfriend.
Fantastic location, that made whole our stay easy. We had access to bus line, that was going every 5 minutes. Nearby was fantastic restaurants and lots of shops. Room was basic, but all that we needed. After the stay, they even stored our baggages free of charge

Nothing to really dislike, it would be nice to have another mirror in the room beside the one in the bathroom, but all in all nothing to complain about.

We had 4th floor to take from the long active day, but it’s ok.
Hotel is clean and comfortable, good rooms, not very large, but very comfortable. And I don’t know what it is, but the hotel feels much better in life and really comfy and nice. All the amenities were quality ones, we really enjoyed our stay Thanks ❤️

There was some smell of cigarette smoke and cooking coming into the room in the evening and at night. However, those moments did not last long. Besides that, there is nothing else not to like about this hotel.
Located in the Old Town, it was close to shops, banks, restaurants and cafes. Batumi Boulevard was a short walk away. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed comfortable.
